Nope! I don't think anyone is ever fully ready. Even if they think they are, we all have freak out moments as the due date approaches. As long as you have all your ducks in a row in regards to your life and are mentally prepared for a child then I'd say you're good.

Well, we tried to get pregnant for over a year before we got our sticky baby, and even so I nearly had a panic attack in the bathroom when the second line showed up. Definitely hyperventilated for a minute.

I don't think you can ever be really ready. It is absolutely life-changing, and it's not easy. My marriage is definitely different, but not in a bad way. And like @runnerd: said, it's a total leap of faith.

I was definitely nervous when we were talking about it but not trying yet. But, ironically, when the time came to really try, the nerves went away and I became excited! Granted it's only our first cycle and that could change ;)

I am 31 weeks and still not sure we are ready. I don't think anyone is ever 100% ready, just have to bite the bullet and pull the trigger. We were both ready to start trying but at the same time, scared to start. Since getting pregnant, I have been the one freaking out more about being ready then DH.

I don't think you're ever really ready. I have dreamed about being a mom since I was 12, and when we finally pulled the goalie I was scared shitless. Now that I am pregnant, I am still scared but also really excited! I don't know if the fear will ever go away because I'll probably always worry about this little bean for the rest of its life. But hopefully the excitement won't go away either!

I thought I was, but holy cow! I never expected this. It's amazing, wonderful and scary all at the same time and I would never change it for the world! You're never really ready. The only advice I can give you is to make absolutely sure you and your husband have great communication, because, not only is it key to a great marriage, it makes things SO much easier once your child is here. Good luck!!!! :-)

@cmbknyc: you are me 1 year ago, and right now I wish we could have started earlier. We got pregnant on our first cycle and miscarried a few weeks later. I just wish we would have started trying sooner.

No. :) We just decided it was time. It "helped" we didn't get pregnant for 6 months because every month of no positive test made us want it more!

In a word: NO! Lol :) I don't think there's ever a way to be really ready and really prepare. It will change your life regardless of when you have a baby. I would say just keep open communication lines with your DH and make sure yo'ure on the same page. I felt super ready to have a baby and then when I got my BFP I freaked out. It took time to get used to the idea, and then I freaked out againn when LO was born. He's now 3 months old and I finally feel like I sometimes have the hang of this parenting thing :)

Hi ladies, we've been thinking about TTC for some months now and probably will begin in April. Now that it's just a few months away I'm starting to get cold feet. Having a child is something I've always wanted and couldn't wait to start but now I'm scared of how it will change DH's and my relationship and life in general. I'm turning 32 early next year and really feel that we shouldn't put it off much longer...any one else feel this way. Are you ever really ready?
