Sounds fun! We went years ago when DS was a baby. I would say bring a bike helmet in case you ride bikes. When we were there, no one wore them (maybe things have changed since?), but I really don't like riding bikes without a helmet. You can rent one of those cargo bikes for your DD to ride in.

We went last spring with our then 5 and 2 year old. It was great. I second Tivoli and Louisiana. I still think about the views from Louisiana over the water pretty regularly, and they have an amazing kids art space.

We also loved these trampoline sidewalks: http://www.trendingcity.org/sidewalk-trampolines-copenhagen-1

This traffic playground was remarkable: https://www.visitcopenhagen.com/copenhagen/childrens-traffic-playground-gdk507562. They have an extensive miniature Copenhagen streetscape and bikes the kids can borrow to practice navigating it.

I also recommend renting a Christiana bike and touring the city by bike for at least one day, if not multiple days.

Copenhagen is so great! We were there last summer with our then-5.75 and 1.5 year old. Here are a few of our favorites:

To do:
- Tivoli (we had lunch at Fru Nimb inside the park, it was great)
- Definitely spend a day at the Louisiana art museum, which is a short train ride / drive away, and really worth it, even just for the gorgeous sculpture garden (the cafe is very good too)

To eat:
- Kødbyens Fiskebar if you like fish
- Restaurant Barr (in the former Noma space)
- Lunch at Palægade or Aamans 1921 for smorrebrod
- Restaurant 108 (one of the former Noma chefs - you might want to go without kids, although fine with kids if they are somewhat adventurous eaters)

Have a fantastic time!

You ladies have been so helpful with travel planning in the past (Greece was amazing!) that I'm soliciting suggestions for where to go/what to see in Denmark. We will have DD (2.5 yrs) and my MIL (hopefully serving in a babysitting role mostly) along on the trip.

DH's friend from college is getting married on July 6 in Copenhagen. Our vacation time off is June 27-July 10. We have nothing planned/booked right now except needing to be in Copenhagen the 5th through the 7th for the wedding weekend. Any suggestions for where to go/what to do in Denmark while there? We are adventurous drivers and willing to rent a car, could take a ferry or fly. We'd debating hitting Norway during the same trip, but that could be hard given the timing of the wedding during our vacation block.

Any experience and input welcome!
