Is that cash price? None of it covered by insurance? My RE somehow coded it funny so that it ended up not being a fertility treatment and got covered like anything else. Even the IUI was just an 'in office procedure'. So I got pretty lucky with my monitoring for TI and IUI.
Though I found out through my IVF cycles that if I did my bloodwork and ultrasounds outside of the RE office (I had to since my RE was out of state) that it also did not get coded as fertility treatment and was covered under diagnosis for endocrine disorder or something like that. I guess since Quest/Labcorp and the ultrasound clinic technically weren't fertility centers, they couldn't even bill as such even though it was for a IVF cycle.

@LAZB: Here's how it worked out for me on my last cycle. The only things covered by insurance are my ultrasounds.

Monitoring = $120:
Copay: $35 at both CD3 and midcycle apts.
CD3 bloodwork: $25 + again at midcycle scan
CD3 scan: $250 but covered by insurance + again at midcyle scan (so, I didn't have to pay for this)

Meds + IUI = $880 (I can break that down if you're interested too)

Each ultrasound (3 total) is $150 out of pocket, trigger shot I ended up not even needing was $75 (insurance didn’t cover), progesterone was $20 (insurance covered). So almost $550. Pregnant and hoping beyond hope this baby sticks.

With my first RE, we did Clomid and TI. I was with Kaiser so everything was billed separately. I think it was $137 for each blood draw, $125 for each ultrasound and $50 for meds. Each cycle I had 2 blood draws, CD3 and a week after "ovulation" (I never actually ovulated), and 2-4 ultrasounds to check follicles. We did 4 cycles with Clomid and 2 cycles with Femara before I called it quits and found a new RE.

For bloodwork, ultrasound, and meds (clomid no trigger) it's about $250 after insurance for me.

ETA: the cyst check is just a pelvic exam for me, but if I did the follicle scan it would the $250 I said. If I had 2 ultrasounds a cycle it would be about $350-375? total

Not the same but I had a t/v ultrasound, that my pcp decided needed to be done that day, so I couldn't price things out. That was 550 dollars all by itself so 700 for 2 ultrasounds and blood work doesn't seem so bad. Our Healthcare system sucks

Just as the title says, what did it cost you?

For my RE, it is $700, not including meds. It seems like so much for just the baseline blood work, cd3 scan to check for cysts, and mid cycle follicle scan, but I’m assuming it’s normal? Just curious how it compares to others.

@T.H.O.U.: I'm putting together some backpacks to donate to the elementary school next door. I was sort of guessing on the supply lists but I bought a ton of stuff from amazon basics. The quality looks good. I even bought the amazon basics backpacks and they look good! I did buy some name brand stuff (ticonderoga pencils) but anything I could buy from Basics I did.

I haven't added it all up and we don't have everything yet, but we have to buy all pens, pencils, markers, rulers, glue, backpack and pencil case, all pretty basic stuff and I think that will be between €30-40. The school buys all the paper goods so that all the kids have the same thing and then they bill us. The cost for that is supposed to be €50 or less for the whole year. I think it's reasonable. Our kids don't pool supplies as we are supposed to put their name on every item and one of the goals is that the kids are responsible for and keep track of their own stuff.

DS is in 2nd grade and his list is MUCH longer - too much for me to add up but I purposely chose some more expensive items - for example - last year he had a flimsy plastic folder that managed to get ripped so this year instead of paying 60 cents each I bought the heavy duty ones for $2.50 each.

I also buy erasers and pencils in bulk -ha! So I had lots left over from last year and didn't have to buy those this year for him

It can vary so much!

1 bottle Elmers glue: 1.97
4 large glue sticks: 3 pack, 4.97
1 plastic supply box: 7
1 roll paper towels: will send from a family pack, $1
1 bottle hand sanitizer: $3
2 containers clorox wipes: $7...price changed here, i thought they were cheaper, lol
2 packages baby wipes: 3.00
1 box tissues: 1.00

I hadn't totalled it before, but it comes to over $40. I suppose I could shop around a little more, i think i overspent on the pencil box.

My issue is sending my son to school with 4 glue sticks when they're supposed to last the whole year. I will send one at a time, because my son will open them all and they'll all be garbage by November. Besides, if each kid brings 4 glue sticks, that's 80. As far as I know, they're not pooled as we also need to label each item.
