We're about to transition to a twin bed. We're not buying a set. MIL made a quilt for LO when she was born that we will use and I will buy sheets to match.

She was like 18 months, she refused to stay in her crib and would crawl out, we started by taking the side of the crib off and making it a toddler bed, and the a few months later bought her a twin bed. We have a cheap sheet set from Target (and a few spare fitted sheets in case of accidents) I washed them in baking soda to soften them up. (it works)

i would skip the toddler sheet sets and splurge on a big girl bed set when the time comes.

I would not buy a toddler set.

We went right to a twin and got her a nice set for that. I do know others though that did go from crib > toddler > twin and still felt the toddler sets were a waste.

I won't buy a toddler set. If we have another R will move into a regular bed anyway, so I will get her a full bed bed with sheets and blanket. If we don't have another, I will use the crib sheets and let her use her dream blanket still. Then when we convert the crib to the full bed, get her sheets and blankets.

I switched her crib to a toddler bed around 20 months and just used her regular crib sheets. Just about 25/26 months we switched her to a twin and I bought regular twin sheets. I did splurge on a PBK quilt set that was on sale with a coupon. but I never bought her fancy crib set and I had a GC. Truth be told, I'm not sure if she'll use it even in the winter! She runs hot like daddy!

What age did you LO transition from crib to converted toddler bed or twin bed?

Did your LO ever use toddler sheet sets inside the crib?

I'm looking for new crib sheets and wondering if I should just pay a little more for the "sets" or just pay for the sheet? I'm not thinking about messing with the crib anytime soon - I'm glad she stays in the crib for now!

Us too. I have one sheet that goes with the set, and I use Ikea jersey sheets or a terry cloth sheet I got at a local boutique.

@pelikila: Sounds like they're a solid buy, especially since I plan on rotating through a few for each crib. Thank you! PBK is offering free shipping today, so I just ordered some :)

We have a PB crib set including a fitted sheet. It has held up really well but I interchange it with some others too. It is only elasticized on the ends and not along the length but it isn't an issue for us. No shrinkage has occurred in the past year and no pilling or other defects.

I was surprised to see that the cut patterned PB Kids crib sheets are only a few dollars more than the plain white crib sheets I had in my amazon cart! So I'm really tempted to buy a few sets for the nursery.

Does anyone have experience with these sheets? Have you been happy with how they've held up? Any shrinking issues or other things to be wary of?

Thanks!
