I don't know why I hate it so much. I think this Cinderella cross stitch was the 1st one that I didn't use the middle start. I've done several birth announcements since and all of them have been more centered because I started ticking off the stitches on the masking tape. I can't remember why I started doing that, but I have a feeling it had something to do with a miscount that I couldn't fix and had to tear out. My guess for both designs -$30ish (estimate based on colors). Don't forget needles! I'd use the aida cloth if it's your first try. The linen is harder to work with/keep track of. You might also want masking tape to tape the sides of the cloth so it doesn't fray around the edges. </p> <p> This is the one I've been working on for a few years now (very sporadically). It's going to be Cinderella and her fairy godmother. And now that I look at it, I'm super annoyed with the way I started it (too close to the edge).
