The procedure went really well and was easy as far as things go. I’m so sorry to hear about this. I’ve had three miscarriages (two of which required D&amp;Cs) and the scheduling aspect was so frustrating both times. For my last one, they tried to schedule me at 3 p.m. (in a surgical center that sat on top on a shopping mall!), which meant no eating almost all day and then having to find people to pick up my kids from school. After begging, I was able to get a 1 p.m. slot in a normal medical office building. I’ll be thinking about you. I had a d&amp;c about 3 days after I found out. I had no miscarriage symptoms prior to finding out or while I was waiting for the procedure. </p> <p>I will be thinking of you tomorrow. The emotional recovery was more difficult for me than the physical one. For what it’s worth, you made the right call to have an early morning procedure. I had my D&amp;C in the early afternoon and was so dehydrated from not drinking all day, it made it extremely difficult for them to insert the IV. Also, the D&amp;C was a very positive experience for me. An easy procedure. Wish you didn’t have to go through it, but hope it goes smoothly. I’m sorry so many of you have had a similar journey.<br /> I called in, but they aren’t able to schedule me today, so we will stick with first thing tomorrow. I think the cramping was in my head, I really feel totally normal now. I’m glad I caught it when I did, it would have been even worse to have gone to my scan in 2 weeks (that I was planning on bringing my dd to) and found out then.<br /> A funny thing in all of this was when the woman from the surgical center called me to confirm details, she said she saw my name and remembered me from 6 years ago when I had laparoscopic surgery to diagnose my endometriosis. This is funny because I have a VERY common name, and I can’t imagine what I said or did 6 years ago to make such an impression. I guess it was a good impression though, she was super nice lol. </p>
