@peaches1038: great tips above! I would recommend to keep an eye out on the Cottonbabies website or facebook for limited edition prints and snap them up if you don't see them...will be full-price but won't usually be available for retail price later (there's a huge resell market for BG diapers and even used many prints sell for more than retail).

I second the Buy Buy Baby $5 off coupon ($13 each after coupon). However, just FYI - my BBB doesn't accept expired coupons, though our Bed Bath & Beyond does...

Best deal I've gotten is just under $12 per diaper from Jillian's Drawers as a Black Friday deal.

I vote Black Friday too. If you don't find something then buy the bundle. As a heads up you have to wash colors desperately for the first 5 washes so they don't bleed. I love my 4.0s and Cotton Babies is awesome. We have 32 but 8 are Velcro which I don't care for, I prefer snaps.

I've shopped during Black Friday deals and I was able to get 8 BG 4.0 for the price of 6. I paid $98 so I ended paying $12.25 for each diaper.

I found my comment about the deals I got here. http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/black-fridaycyber-monday-deals#post-1962994

My twins are due in October so I doubt I have enough. Back when I was shopping, I was only planning on having one baby. I might have to buy more if we are still CDing by black Friday this year.

Buybuybaby is the best deal I've found with their coupons as mentioned above. I registered there and then whatever gifts I took back from my shower that I felt I didn't need I used towards BumGenius. 25 diapers will be enough for your stash... You can always add a couple more if you find you need them.

Buy Buy Baby sells them in store, and you use either a $5 off $15+ coupon or 20% off single item coupon. You can slowly acquire them that way. I get coupons in the mail, through email, and texts. Coupons don't expire, and Bed Bath and Beyond coupons also work. You can use multiple coupons in one transaction.

Three questions:
I'm trying to get a general idea of what a good price is per diaper for Bumgenius 4.0s. On cottonbabies, I can get 25 diapers for $384.95 and not have to pay tax or shipping, which equals $15.39/diaper. Is that a good deal?

My baby is due in November and we are planning on using disposables until the one size fits, so we could potentially wait for Black Friday/cyber Monday deals. Would it be worth it to wait?

3. Is 25 enough diapers to wash every other day, especially if we wait until they fit?
Thanks!!

Sounds good to me! I had a friend get a crazy good deal by combining a Target sale plus Target $x off baby purchase of $y or more plus Red Card 5% off...but you would have to wait a long time for that to come along again. I think I bought both mine with 20% off at Target and Babies R Us. We love it, although I agree that strap-tightening takes some muscle.

@grizz: I actually feel like my straps have gotten way easier-- not, like, super easy, but not like when I hated them in the beginning. Sometimes I even over tighten them (oops, sorry C, you like to breath?) The biggest thing that fixed it was moving the back up to the second lowest height position- at the lowest spot, it was like her back was holding the straps and keeping them from tightening. But I think your LO is bigger than mine so you probably aren't on the lowest setting anyway. It helps to push the shoulder covers down a little and not snap the chest clip until I tighten the straps most of the way, then snap the chest clip, adjust the covers, then tighten a bit more if needed. And pull the strap towards baby, not away, like you would in an infant seat. Are you already doing all of that? We have a newer one that came with the improved covers.

I don't think it's a *great* deal but I also don't think you will do much better, so you are probably better off just getting it. We got it at BBB and used a 20% off coupon, I think, but did pay tax. We could have driven up to NH to skip the tax but would have paid as much in gas.

I was pretty unsure about ours at first, but I have decided I really like it, and it definitely fit best in our small backseat. Hope you like yours as well!

I voted "Other" - I have two NextFits and I hate them with a fiery burning passion. The straps are IMPOSSIBLE to tighten, even after changing the shoulder strap pads like the company recommended. They acknowledged it is a problem and sent us free replacements. A carseat tech came out and looked at them, and she said we weren't doing anything wrong... Just that it was a pain in the arse to tighten.

So my vote for "Other" means... See if you can find a demo one in-store somewhere and see if the straps bug you as much as they bug us! I think there are other posters here who had/have the same issue.

Our giant LO is literally a centimetre or two from outgrowing his Chicco KeyFit30 seat. We've settled on the NextFit (works with my little Honda Fit, we like the brand, heard good reviews from good friends etc).

It normally retails for 279.99. I found it for 223.99 at AllBee Baby. Is this as good a deal as I'm likely to find or should I wait a couple more weeks for Labor Day and potential sales?

What says the wise hive?

I just got the flyer that the BRU trade in event is starting later this month. You get 25% off an item if you trade in an old item. I think the list includes:
-Car Seats
- Cribs/Bassinets
- High Chairs
- Bouncy Seats

I am pretty sure you can add a registry completion coupon (10%) off to make a pretty sweet deal. I think we are going to pick up a second car seat. We have a Boulevard but want to also get a Graco MyRide. They are usually $179 but after the 25% off it will be $134 and then another 10% off would bring it closer to $100. I'm so excited!
