@PawPrints: Did you ever find anything? I always end up sitting with my legs crossed and never thought about why! I'm also getting at least some new chairs soon, if not whole dining set.

Yeah I actually went years without thinking about it, but eventually I started to wonder why I always wound up sitting cross-legged on the chair like a little kid, and I realized it was because it was bugging me that my heels weren't resting on the floor. At work and in my home office, I use a footrest. But that seems silly under a dining table.

We are thinking of swapping out our dining chairs for a new look. My issue is that I want my feet to rest comfortably on the floor when I'm sitting normally in the chair. Our current dining chairs (and, like, all chairs ever) are too tall and only my toes and the balls of my feet touch the floor, which is not exactly ergonomic. I'm 5'3" so it's not like I'm abnormally short. This seems like it should be a solvable problem!

Can anyone recommend dining chairs that are comfortable for a somewhat vertically challenged adult?

We had the absolutely best Swedish/Norwegian meatballs I have ever had in my life at Askershus. The lingonberry* sauce is so uniquely divine. My fave for sure. Ask for a window table for castle like ambience!

Sci fi was fun but not tasty enough for the price tag. Columbia Harbor was pretty decent for the price range.

@T.H.O.U. for a really fun afternoon/evening, go visit Port Orleans French Quarter (hotel). You can take the boat from there to Downtown Disney, which is a beautiful and relaxing ride. Eat dinner/walk around at Downtown Disney, take the boat back. And make sure to get dessert at French Quarter - they have homemade beignets that they fry in front of you and OMG they are so good! You don't have to be staying at the hotel - we just tell the guard we want to walk around/eat there and they are glad to let you in.

Flame Tree BBQ and Tusker House (character breakfast) at AK, Prime Time Cafe at HS. California Grill at Contemporary is great for fine dining, and it has a beautiful view of MK.

Oh! Disney! My favorite topic! We are Florida residents and annual passholders (well, we didn't get passes this year since we have a new baby, but we have been for several years). We usually don't eat sit-down meals because I'm cheap and sit down meals are expensive at Disney. So here are my favorites for snacks/counter service meals!

Magic Kingdom:
- best snack ever, DOLE WHIP - it's a pineapple soft serve. So gooood. I get this every time I am at Magic Kingdom.
- my favorite counter service is Columbia Harbor House in Fantasyland/Liberty Square. They have fried fish/shrimp but I usually get a salad, which are really good. They also have a hummus and broccoli slaw sandwich that I really like. Take your food and sit upstairs - it is air conditioned and you're in a little alcove overlooking Fantasyland. Great to people watch!
- Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square: not really a full restaurant, more snacks, but they have ice cream cookie sandwiches, and different kinds of waffle sandwiches (one is spicy chicken, but they have one that's Nutella and fruit yummmm).

Epcot:
- Sunshine Seasons at the Land Pavilion. Lots of different kind of food (the grilled salmon, or rotisserie chicken) - all fresh stuff with veggies, etc. I think possibly best counter service in WDW.
- Tangerine Cafe: the counter service in Morocco. Super tasty Middle Eastern food, a little pricey for a quick service but the plates are large enough to split.
- In France: the kiosks with crepes and the frozen slushy drinks (Grand Marnier slushy and lemon vodka slushy!).
- In Germany: the Karamel Kuche, it's a bakery with all kinds of homemade caramel stuff. Everything I've had is amazing.
- Via Napoli (sit down restaurant) in Italy - awesome pizza, but $$$. Big portions, good for splitting.

Hollywood Studios: all the food is bad!

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree BBQ is the best counter service place to eat. Everything is pretty good, they smoke the meat there.

We spend about $400 a month on groceries (I really can't figure out how to get this number down much) and $150 on eating out but that's only lunch out. If we go out to dinner, it's probably $100 more. DH buys lunch every day, which I think is $10+. Too much but he says he feels anti-social when he brings lunch.
