Also, I forgot to mention, I did a blog post after my second about things you don't know about m/c's until you have one. I can't link here, but my blog is in my profile if you're interested. It's not too far back, since I never update lately.

Hugs. This is rough. Definitely second the asking how many losses before they take action. Mine was willing to start testing for issues after my second, even though most insurances prefer you wait till after a third. (I think she used the fact that I'd had similar symptoms before when not trying, that might have been a m/c that I didn't know about, as justification.)

You might want to ask what steps they'll take next time, to prevent another loss as well as to help your peace of mind. My doctor went ahead and prescribed progesterone and extra folic acid. The progesterone for once I got a bfp, the folic acid for immediate use. My doctor also said I could take baby aspirin if I wanted, but because I've been tested and know I don't have a blood clotting issue, it won't really make a difference. She just said to take it if it'd make me feel better. (I chose not to, because from what I could find online, the studies have mixed results with taking it unnecessarily.)

Also, my first doctor (we moved between losses) told me I could start trying again the cycle after I got my period back. The maternal-fetal specialist said to wait one more cycle, because it gave my uterine lining time to recover better. She didn't say getting pregnant again so quickly was related to having had a second loss, but it made me wonder when she said that. So when you ask your doctor when you can start again, you might ask for specifics on why they recommend whenever it is that they do.

Again, I'm so sorry you're going through this. If you need to talk, feel free to message me. There are, sadly, rather a lot of us on here that have been there, so you should find good support here. If you haven't already found it, there's a thread for those of us ttc again after a loss. I've found it very helpful for venting when the stress gets high. Everyone here is wonderful. http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/ttc-after-a-loss-support-thread

My hCG levels dropped significantly, so I doubt there is any chance.

I just want this to be over with so I can move on.

Hopefully your doctor does an ultrasound to confirm mc. Not trying to get false hope up, but I had bleeding early in my pregnancy, went to urgent care where they did blood tests and 2 internal ultrasounds and pronounced I would have a mc. I went to my OB a few days later and they (as specialist ultrasound techs) could see a perfectly healthy early fetus/sac and I had a successful pregnancy. Urgent care/ERs can be wrong! Good luck!

I would also check with how many mc's you have before they will do testing. We had a late term loss, but when we got pregnant again, my dr was very conservative with me and made sure he took all the precautions he could.

I have my first appt with my new OBGYN today. (I switched medical practices when I found out I was pregnant because I didn't like the OBs at the previous place I went to).

I was told I would have a mc at urgent care this weekend, but am still only spotting dark brown blood, so the dr told me to come in today.

I am planning on asking:
-Status of my uterus
-If any procedures need to be undertaken
-When we can start trying again
-Anything I should do in preparation

Anything I missed or should ask?

TIA!
