He doesn't truly manage my day to day (I meet with him bi-weekly), so if I had to leave or come in late, I would occasionally tell his assistant in case he looked for me. No one questions that here. If there are a lot together I can always say dentist-- everyone knows I have teeth issues since I complain about it. You don't owe them any other explanation than that.. could be dentist, dermatologist, who knows. My 2nd appointment, was two weeks after the first, and she did ask if everything was ok. I said yep, they just wanted to re-run some tests. She didn't say anything for the 3rd appointment.
