I would keep it for baby #2 or pass it on to a friend. The pump I have (Medela PIS) is actually from a friend after she pumped for her 2 boys.

I kept my pump from DD (Lansinoh) to use with DS but ended up buying a new Medela PISA at a really good price on Ebay. I have kept my Lansinoh as a back-up but may give it to a friend who is tight on funds if she wants it.

I see them on craigslist.

Honestly, I would ask around if you know any other moms. I would pay for a used one from a close friend but wouldn't pay much for a used one from craigslist.

Now that I am done with pumping and weaned for good, I am wondering what should I do with my $300+ electric pump (Medela freestyle hands free)!

Did you sell or donate (and claim tax benefits) your pump? If you sold it, where and how did you sell it? Do you know of any channel that I can use to sell my pump ? :)

Through some of the organizations mementioned above I may be able to find a baby in need of some allergen free milk! All of mine is free from the eight most common plus gluten. The more recent stuff is rice and oat free as well :) I'd love to help a food allergy baby!

The problem is with the frozen milk. I now make just enough fresh, so that's all I serve now. After 9 months of pumping, I wouldn't have the energy to scald it anyway.

Sandsandmore can you scold your milk to eliminate/reduce the lipase? I read about another mother whose milk contained high amounts of lipase and she said she had to scold it before giving to her little one. Thought of your post from the other day.

yes, look into eats on feets. There's also a couple Facebook groups that do private donations. I thought about it, but because of the lipase, I wouldn't want to give it to a mom only to have her baby not like it either. With the milk bank route, a sick baby will get it directly into his tummy via a feeding tube.

Oh thank you Mr. Bee! I'll check it out.

Honestly I am very sad to let it go and am very attached to my freezer stash **blush**, but my son has food allergies (FPIES) and the entire stash was accumulated while I was eating rice and oats, his 2 most recent allergens. He's a perfectly healthy 20 lb 6 month old, so I'd love to give it to a baby in need instead of dumping...I think I would cry over that. lol

I have a rather sizable freezer stash that I am looking to donate and also looking to possibly become a full time donor. I'm not sure if milk banking or private donation is the way to go...anyone have any opinions on that? Also does anyone have any tips on how to locate a local donor or set up a donation with a local hospital or children's hospital?

Any information on this would be helpful.
