@Sugar.Biscuit: two quality umbrella strollers would be double the price of this stroller! heck, even two cheap umbrella strollers would be the cost of this stroller....

I was told by another mother to get two quality umbrella strollers & clip them together. That way they are light weight & you can split then up if you need to. Let me know what you think of your purchase!

Thanks for all the feedback ladies!! I just bit the bullet and purchased a Combi sport double stroller from Albeebaby! My son hates being worn, and once he hits 6 months I don't think the snap 'n go is going to cut it, so I think this will fit our needs perfectly.

we were undecided on this for a while too, but i think we're gonna go for it. they are going to be only 15 months apart, we plan to have 4 in total spaced close-ish (so i imagine it will be useful at some point), we use our single stroller all the time right now, and i anticipate going out alone often during the week.

also, LO#1 didn't really love being worn all that much, so there is the possibility that LO#2 won't either... we'll see!!

gonna go for the city mini double i think!

I plan on getting a double stroller only because at almost 2 years, my daughter still loves her stroller and it makes life so much easier. My hope is that by the time #2 arrives, she will still want to stroll around...

No real advice as my #2 is still in my belly..... but I think we're going to get a sit and stand. LO is almost 2 and she doesn't like to go in the stroller, but there are times when we make her, like if it's an arts and crafts fair and it's crazy busy with dogs everywhere. I just prefer her to be strapped in for that kind of thing so I don't have to worry about a strange dog or someone stepping on her. She never liked baby wearing so I don't count on my next liking it either.

For us it was. I like running so a jogging stroller was necessary. Our regular double was excessive though and we sold it. We now just use the single stroller while DS walks or if his legs get tired, I bring the front carrier it's me so I can wear my youngest and DS can rest.

@Lozza: We have an uppababy vista with the uppababy piggyback board. We also received a hand me down umbrella stroller that had a buggyboard that attaches to a lot of different types of strollers.

I don't think about names, or gear, or anything other than "OMG taking care of two is going to kill me." I bought a K'Tan on HB Classifieds and a couple of things from the Old Navy clearance rack, and that's that.

Wagon Jr. doesn't mind sitting in a stroller, so it makes things VERY easy when we want to keep both kids strapped in (i.e. walking through the airport)!!

Otherwise, a riding board (or buggy board) would be great for you guys!! Lets the toddler stand while the baby sits in the stroller. We love ours and get comments on it all the time.

@Mrs. Yoyo: It might just be me procrastinating on anything related to this next kid. We haven't bought or planned anything- I think we kind of just feel like "eh, we still have the co-sleeper in the basement, we'll buy some diapers, dig out our older son's old onesies, and call it a day. It'll be fine."
It's making me feel a little bad for second children!

I've been leaning towards not getting one- LO will be 2.5 when the next one is born in October, and we barely use the stroller now- LO pretty much always wants to be walking, and honestly his toddler walking ability and my pregnant walking ability are about the same at the moment, so it works :)
I kind of figured that we'd babywear the next one for at least the first 6 months if not longer, but it didn't really occur to me that the next one might not like being worn in those early days!
I think I've been leaning towards waiting and seeing if we can get away with 1 stroller + babywearing for a while, and then maybe going with some kind of sit-and-stand thing that's less bulky, since my older one doesn't need options like recline or sunshade or a bar or something.

I wasn't going to get a double, but I'm SO happy I decided to.
DS didn't mind being worn, but it's really convenient strapping both kids in and just going!
I'm glad I got one sooner rather than later too!
When we went out in the early months I pushed one and DH pushed the other too. I take the kids out on my own a lot and found that my life is easier with a double.

I probably should've asked this question, before I started my other thread - http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/help-me-decide-on-a-double-stroller

How important is it to have a double stroller? I've been holding off on buying one, but I'm leaning towards getting one.

J is 4 months and N is 2.5 years old. Originally, I was going to babywear J for the first year, and stroll N around, but go figure that J does not like being worn. Whenever DH and I go out we're each pushing strollers. J in the Snap 'n Go, and N in our single stroller.

Do you think no matter what, I'll eventually need one?

@chopsuey119: with my single stroller, a huge sunshade was a must, so we got the britax b-agile, but we hardly use the sunshade. noelle loves being able to see everything! i'm still considering the b-agile double stroller though (similar to the city mini), but i'm still debating between that or one of these lighter-weight strollers.

I had a techno for work before and BFF had the combi, so I used both a lot. The maclaren is better looking IMO and felt very solid, but the combi shocked me because she used at for hours a day for almost 3 yrs and it held up! And she wasn't gentle with it! The combi fold is pretty neat and I've seen some ppl with an infant seat on one side (not sure if you're supposed to do that or not or what seats are compatible if it is ok), which could be desirable. The maclaren will have a higher resale value. If it were my $, having used both, I'd go with the combi.

I have the combi and it's great. So light and easy to fold up. You don't even need to lock the wheels for folding like they say, which makes it even simpler. It's our shopping stroller and we just keep it in the mini. It fits through a standard single door too, which is awesome for a double. Never tried the MacLaren, but our stroller splurge was the BOB duallie, so a reasonable price was important on our shopper.

ETA, I like having the solid bar handle for attaching a mommy hook to hold a shopping basket, etc. I never use the cup holder bc it makes it harder to fit tight doors. And the short canopies aren't an issue for us bc we don't take long outdoor walks with it.

Oh, and the kids LOVE having the bar across the front to prop their feet up on :)

I like the way the MacClaren looks! I love my GT but it definitely isn't lightweight.

I like how the Maclaren looks, but seems like the Combi has better ratings? I voted Combi.
I'm not a fan of how both have a small sun shade though..
Not sure if it's within your budget, but I would totally get the City Mini GT. I love it so much. Even my picky DH loves it.
