We're still using sleep sacks at 13 months old. Lately, he just sleeps in footed pjs. We have two A&A toddler blankets for when we're ready to transition him to them. My DH researched them and picked out the pattern with my approval ;) He still rolls everywhere in the crib, so no blanket transition for us yet.

LO stopped wearing sleep sacks after he turned 1 since it was too warm. I tried to get him back in a sleep sack with no luck. He has been using a thin blanket ever since. It took a while for him to adjust. At 2.5 years old we just transitioned him into a twin bed on the floor, and he is not a fan of having a comforter on him. He is fine with a lightweight blanket but will kick off the comforter as soon as he can, even in his sleep.

I loved the sleep sack, I never worried about DD being cold! We stopped using sleep sacks when she transitioned into her big-girl bed, at the age of 23/24 months. Now, we use a toddler-sized blanket/duvet but she moves around a lot that she isn't always covered and it stresses me out. But she's now learning to cover herself sometimes and I always dress her warmly so it's all good.

charlie started using a blanket shortly after he turned two and was in a regular bed. he always kicked it off though so we had to dress him warm enough. now at 3 1/2 he is much better about using his blanket.

i love sleep sacks! i don't have to worry if they're warm enough. olive is almost 2 and is still in one, and i suspect she will be in them until she's 3 since she will never try to climb out of her crib.

We dropped the sleep sacks around 10 months or so - right around when she started crawling. We use footed pj's when it's cooler and do have a blanket in the crib, but she rarely uses it (other than when we cover her).

We've tried a sleep sack about 3 times and he always hated them. He's had a small, light stroller blanket since 8 months or so. He's almost 18 months and we probably won't give him anything different until he moves into a big boy bed. He doesn't use the blanket for coverage very often, though. More as security. We just keep him in long jammies and socks.

LO is 17 months and we have started using sleep sacks for walkers. She hates having a blanket on her. Kicks and pulls it off.

We used a sleep sack all last winter when DS had just turned 2. I really need to decide what to do this winter, and quickly, as he no longer fits into the sleep sack and it's getting cold. He is still in a crib, but only for a few more weeks until we buy a bed. I will probably just get a down comforter and pillow to do the whole "big boy" transition at once.

We ditched the sleep sack and switched to a blanket at a year. We probably won't do a pillow until she transitions out of the crib.

We stopped using a sleep sack a few months ago (at 15/16 months) because it was too hot and we don't have A/C. Maybe a month ago we started giving LO a blanket to sleep with. It's fleece and not too big. He usually throws it off early in the night but will randomly tuck himself back in throughout the night. We've started using a much thicker, larger, knitted blanket that he likes. I don't know when we will introduce a pillow though because he moves everywhere...probably not until he's in a big boy bed which I'm hoping happens well after he turns 3  .

We are 20 months now, and we are still using a sleep sag! As winter is approaching, I am very tempted to buy a down comforter for LO, but not sure if that will be too early! I also wanted to buy him a pillow, but so far he's still sleeping / rolling around everywhere in the crib, so I don't know how much use that would be.

When did you transition from a sleep sag to a toddler blanket/comforter? OR should I keep the sleep sag for as long as I wanted, and get a thick blanket as an addition? Any advice to ensure success ?? :)
