nanilani on "Fluttering during "TWW"?"

@smith: Lol, that would be a perfectly plausible explanation, but I'm a bit of an expert in nervous butterflies and this wasn't it. It almost felt like a muscle twitch you might get in your arm/eyebrow/wherever but different -- internal and more prolonged. The fluttering happened uncontrollably throughout the day and a half; it wasn't something I could think into being like nerves.

It seems very odd that this new sensation didn't turn up until we pulled the goalie, but in the bright light of day I think I just need to write it off as a fluke. Once upon a time one BFN was enough to convince me I wasn't pregnant!

I also felt fluttering during my TWW, but it turned out to be nervous/excited butterflies thinking there was a chance I'm growing a human inside me! Did you notice the fluttering in similar instances, or was it totally random? Not sure what it might mean, but I wanted to commiserate in the symptom-spotting obsession  Good luck regardless!

@torchwood: My logical side knows this, but I think my emotional side still needed to hear it from someone else so thank you :) I'm new to ttc and am often surprised by some of the symptoms other posters have described -- this one was so out there for me that I figured it was worth asking just in case.

I'll be honest, I don't know what connection there could be between a weird feeling in your ribcabe and anything to do with TTC. Most of the pertinent organs are much lower.

"TWW" in quotes b/c I have no evidence of ovulation. My cycles have always been irregular and I don't chart or temp yet to preserve my sanity. If only . . . I promised myself I wouldn't symptom spot, yet here we are.

Has anyone felt a fluttering or bubbling sensation before getting a BFP? I was feeling a very distinct fluttering inside my right rib cage on and off for a day and a half eight days post BD, about 5 to 30 seconds at a time. I've never felt anything like it before, and it felt too high to be gas. It didn't hurt, just felt strange. Light cramping same day felt like AF coming on, but the past several days I've had extremely light spotting only. If I get spotting it's usually no more than one day before AF really appears, but no other sign of her yet this time. I broke down and tested today and got a BFN. The rational side of me says "not pregnant", but the flutters and very light flow are very unusual and have me second guessing reason. Is there any chance it could still be too early to test? It's been ten days since BD, so it could be still be within the TWW if I happened to O around that time. It's all a long shot -- please talk some reason into me!

Thank you lovely bees for your support. Its nice to be able to share these ttc feelings with a group of women since you have to stay hush hush to everyone else around you. Now, what do I do?!!! Im gonna wait until next week to make a dr.appt. or is it best to do it right away?

update!! Im 14dpo and AF was due today. She is m.i.a and for a good reason because my FRER was positive!! I know I had implantation cramps on dpo9 - 10 so my faint positive line was a suprise! I will test again in two days for a stronger positive line because my hubby doesnt think the faint line counts as a positive. ha! (were newbies to this baby stuff) So, First month TTC.... I cant believe it!! The crazy thing is I knew I was pregnant since after O day...cramping and all the symptoms (the extreme thirst, dizziness, perky nips, etc..) that I got were so out of character for me. Then they dissapeared after implantation except for the bouts of dizziness. And the last two days I have been waking up hungry in the middle of the night.... I will test again in a few days for a stronger positive to be sure. yaya!!!!!!!!

You never know! The only pregnancy symptom I had during my two week wait was implantation bleeding. Most people won't experience real symptoms, particularly nausea, until at least 5 or 6 weeks pregnant (mine started in the middle of week 6). My suggestion is to try to avoid symptom spotting and just relax. Have fun with it! It'll come when it comes and it will be awesome! :)

@jh524: one cycle I got cramps on 9dpo that lasted off and on until AF. I swore it was a baby because I've NEVER had that before (and haven't since). So it's possible this is just you having a weird month. But as a fellow TTC-er I hope I'm wrong and these really mean a BFP for you!
