We just keep trying new things. We have found she really likes cold food and meals like casseroles that have a lot of flavor and easy to eat.

My 13 month old has gotten a little more picky toward veggies but still really likes meats. I think he is going through a bit of an appetite decrease. I don't think this is uncommon at 1 yr to slow down on eating. So maybe your LO is just not quite as hungry as before which could result on just wanting to eat the stuff he most prefers. They start thinning out and then going through growth spurts alternatively at this age, we experienced this too with DD.

I just went through this for weeks. No idea why, I don't see any new teeth. It just went away eventually.

We had a food set back at about 14 months old when he had a bunch of teeth coming in. We did a lot of frozen food and smoothies (cold again). He has come back to being a really good eater again.

One thing that helped was letting him eat while running around. So lots of snacky foods. We would give him freeze dried peas for veggies and veggie sticks. It wasn't the best habits but at least he was eating which was more important for us. We also would take his left overs and put them in a container for the next meal.

And sometimes he ate more if they were cut up really small.

Help!

We did a mix of purees and BLW with Baby X, and until recently he has been a great eater. He was basically done with purees around 8.5 months, and until recently, he'd eat huge quantities of whatever I plopped on his tray. Textures didn't bother him and he would eat anything. But for the last 2.5 weeks, he has become an incredibly picky eater. I'm not sure what to do... I don't want to over-think it, but if this keeps up, I'm worried that he won't be getting the nutrition he needs. I think some of this is related to teething, (his canines are coming in), which we can wait out. But that doesn't seem to be the only thing going on. A lot of the advice I'm seeing applies to older kids, not young toddlers. So how would you deal with a picky one year old?
