Spanx seemed to push everything to the front and gave me a round pooch. I had to buy things that didn't hug my stomach. I understand where you are coming from. I lost all of my baby weight and I am just getting my shape back (15 m pp).

thanks ladies for your kind words I will come back again to read your posts monday morning to give me some confidence :-)
Looks like spanks and some new outfits are in order :-) although I don't think DH would approve much of my new wardrobe!! Its been more expensive than we anticipated with all the baby stuff.

@tysonja: nyc and its getting hotter but I don't heat up much so hopefully it will be fine.
@edelweiss: you totally got me there!! maybe say that enough and it becomes true? ;-)

@mrskc: thanks! I will try the ab exercise sounds easy enough
@Smurfette: I started doing planks last week. I am finding it so much harder even with my knees down and then I can't even go all the way down and lie flat as my boobs are sensitive!!

@Adira: I am worried about that too, but I know you get extra points when BF, so hopefully it won't be an issue. I have to do something, so not happy with my post baby body.

@Smurfette: Let me know how WW goes for you. I know I should really go on a diet, but I'm scared it might affect my supply, so I haven't yet!

@edelweiss: Haha! Don't we all wish we could have said that for real.

@Adira: With you sister. I have one pair I bought for the first couple weeks of pregnancy bloat, yeah they are tight when use to be lose. Starting WW this week.

I would just dress to hide it. I have heard planks are the best for post baby tummy toning. I wouldn't know for sure since I haven't done any yet. Total slacker.

I'm 9 months postpartum and still have a sort of belly thing going on. Some of it is extra weight, other part of it is flab from pregnancy. I keep telling myself that I was pregnant for almost a year. It's going to take some time and a little work for it to rebound.

I bet you look great! I wear looser clothing that hides my belly. I bet spanx would work too, but I personally find it uncomfortable to wear. Think about strengthening your transverse abdominal muscles. It's easy to exercise them. You just suck in your stomach like pulling your belly button to your spine and try and hold it for a minute. I just started doing this and I think it's helping my stomach look flatter.

that's great that you're at your pp already, i bet you look amazing already! :) i'm 6 months and still have a few more lbs to go!! i fit in my pp clothes so that's been a lifesaver, but spanks totally will help the belly jiggle! i also wore looser blouses when i came back to work, both for hiding the loose belly and for ease of pumping :)

I love spanks! I think if it's just a little belly jiggle, they'll do the trick fine!

i never had this problem because my body went back to pre-preg shape by 2 months postpartum.

hahaha that's a lie. a big one. i just felt like writing it.

i wore my looser clothes, and on some days i employed the hairband-through-the-pant-buttonhole trick that i used during pregnancy. i have worn spanx in the past and i thought it worked pretty well but i wasn't super comfortable in them (i get warm pretty easily).

aww i'm sure you look great!!! that is amazing that you are at your regular weight at 3 months pp -- i for sure couldn't say that then.... or later :P

maybe just dress in such a way that doesn't accentuate your belly as much? i'm sure you look way better than you think! :) for me i find dresses easier to wear, i feel more put together, and more comfortable :) haven't tried spanx myself, but i'm sure that would do the job as well -- hopefully not too hot where you are!

Stalker here and first post on not too hot topic! I am 3 mo pp and look 3 months preg! I am back to pre-pregnancy weight but the belly is still chubby with loose skin :( I am lean all over except belly and it shows. I have tried belly wrap but its so stiff and uncomfortable and I can't wear it to work as it will show thru.. I am thinking to get some spanx? anyone tried spanx and does it work? I have started doing yoga but that is going to take a while to see results. Any tips on dealing with this in meanwhile?
