He had 2 brothers and didn't grow up around any babies, ever. We are due with our first child, a boy, at the end of January. However, I have this vision in my head of him with three girls and the only male in the house is his big fluffy dog. And they would play the "we're outnumbered" card in a loving/endearing way. He also has three sisters and grew up with a lot of girls. We're happy with two of the same gender... not trying for a boy or a girl next, but if we are gifted either, we'd be happy. But also, even if we stop now, we'd be totally content. We have a girl now, and he's so sweet with her. I know he also wanted a boy so he could play sports, etc. But he quickly gets into the daddy/daughter role with our LO and plays tea, puts on a tiara, etc, and does it all with a smile :)</p> <p>We're going to try for the same number of kids no matter what, doesn't matter if we have all girls. He really was happy when she was born. He says that even if the next one is a girl and he never has a son he would be happy. He will just raise one of the girls to be a tom boy and go fishing with him. </p> <p>However, I can't help but think that he would be a wonderful father to a son. He would love to teach him how to be a man! As much as I would love another girl, I really want to give DH a boy! </p> <p>Any thoughts? If you had all boys or all girls, how many kids would you have to try to get one of the other gender? </p>
