I always had women until I got pregnant. Ha. I thought having male doctors would be weird, but I quickly figured out that modesty pretty much goes out the window anyway during pregnancy and motherhood, so it wasn't such a big deal.

I love my OB! I asked DH if he felt weird that I have a male OB, but it doesn't bother him.

My doctor is male. I had no choice as he is the only high risk doctor there.

Currently mine is female however when I change insurance in Feb I will have a male doc. I'm kind of nervous about it but I have heard nothing but great things about this doctor.

My GP is a guy but I see a midwife for my maternal care... and she'll be the one that delivers me. =)

The practice im with now has a mix of male and female doctors. So far ive seen the female midwifes and will see each doctor every visit I have so I dont have a "stranger" delivering the baby come May.

I go to a group practice. My primary doctor there is female and there is only 1 male doctor in the practice. I'd like for my primary doctor to be there at delivery, but they is no gaurantee of that. I don't care whether my doctors are male or female.

I went to a group practice but they're all female. That was very important to me when picking an ob.

I also go to a group practice and won't be able to guarantee that a certain one delivers my baby. All but one are female, but I would be totally pleased if the male delivered Sneakers. He is great!

Out of curiosity, did you have a preference if your usual doctor is male or female? I have seen most of the doctors in my practice, they alternate call, so I have no guarantee who delivers me. But I prefer one doctor for most of my appointments- I really like him because his wife is going through her second pregnancy and he gives recommendations to me based on "Oh my wife is going through that, here is what I told her." The personal experience just makes me feel better, from prenatal vitamins, to heart burn remedies, to carpal tunnel- even though he isn't going through it himself, the most important person to him is.
