We told him she hated the seat anyhow and that we had a bassinet attachment for our stroller and he said to use the bassinet as much as possible. The carseat can restrict airflow. Now if we are out for long periods of time I use the toddler seat reclined to the max, but still use the car seat if it's for quick errands since its easier to transport in/out of the car. She needs the infant padding the car seat offers to protect her neck and head for safety.
