I kept him in the carrier the entire time and he was more than fine. Keep him covered, though. At four weeks she was starting to get fussy and in her particular case would have probably had meltdown after meltdown (like she did at home) on the plane/trip. I think it depends on what kind of baby you end up having... I don't think germs would be that huge of an issue since a four week old wouldn't be touching that many things. It was easy peasy... She slept most of the way. I was worried about germs but just was really careful to wash my hands a lot and keep her face protected. Four weeks old is such an easy age to travel with! And if you keep the baby in the K'tan, I'd say you'll be fine. Honestly, it was the easiest flight I have ever done with a kid in tow! DH is most likely going to win a trip to Miami via work (he's in sales) for last weekend of April so LO will be 4 weeks old. It would mean a 2.5 hour direct flight with a newborn and staying at a nice resort for 3 nights. I'm not worried about my recovery from the c section as I was good to go within a couple of weeks last time. I am worried about flying with a newborn (exposure to germs more than stress) and if I'd even be able to enjoy myself once there. I would plan on wearing her in my k'tan the whole airport/flight time and will be breastfeeding. We cannot reschedule the trip. We would leave our toddler with his grandparents. What do you think? Would you go?? </p>
