I ate like a horse, but everyone is different and the fundal height is just one small indicator. They worry about amount of fluid and growth, but just measuring small alone doesn't mean there is a problem. I had no issues and just got lots of extra screen time with the babies. With my DD, I was consistently 2-3 cm behind, going up to 4 cm behind the last few weeks. The midwives were never worried and we never did any growth scans as everything else looked great. DD was 7 lbs 6 oz and 21 inches, so a very normal size.</p> <p>I'm 38 weeks with my second now and I had been 2 cm behind since they started measuring, but at my 36 week appt, I was only measuring 31 cm. I thought they might be concerned as it was 5 cm behind but the midwife said it's fine and likely due to the way the baby is laying. I'm petite and my first was tiny but healthy at 5lbs 13oz. Maternal fetal and my OB insisted that I be heavily monitored. Towards the end I had to go in for ultrasounds twice a week. Baby was fine in each ultrasound and always growing on track (just smaller than average). There was honestly nothing to worry about, and I hate that the doctors put me through so much stress. They all wanted to induce me at 39 weeks, and I had to reason with them to let me go to 40 as long as baby was healthy in ultrasounds. Baby was born at 39 weeks 1 day. I went into labor naturally, and he was 6lbs 1oz. He was healthy with no issues. And I have weird weight gain, I gain in the first trimester and early second and then I stop gaining weight for awhile. At the growth ultrasound they said she was already 35 weeks maybe they said LO was already 7lbs 8oz. Not small at all. The technician laughed at my OB for sending me and said she sees it all the time. LO was just hiding deep inside. </p> <p>So of course then I worried about my BIG baby. To my surprise she was only 6lb10oz (but 21 inches) when she was born at 41 weeks. The change this visit is that I am measuring almost 3 cm behind and I haven't gained any weight in the last two weeks. I am 32 weeks 5 days today and I am measuring right at 30. I am really worried that my little guy isn't growing well, which makes me feel like I am failing as his mommy. </p> <p>Any bees with similar experience? </p>
