At the last funeral I attended (my grandmother's), two of my cousins were very visibly pregnant. It made me a little sad to think that my grandma would never get to meet those kids, but happy she did get to know their older siblings. My lo is fine.</p> <p>The first was my grandpa's, I wasn't telling people yet because I wasn't 12 weeks yet, but my dad wanted my grandpa to know before he passed so my Grandma found out too. Against everybody's wishes I went because I love my grandpa. I went to hug my Grandma and she started screaming at me. At her husband's funeral, in front of my whole family who didn't know I was pregnant. And I had a previous miscarriage so I really didn't want everyone to know. But of course they found out. </p> <p>The other funeral was my hubby's good family friend. She lived a few hours away but I had gotten to meet her and had the chance to write her, send her pictures, send her packages, etc. </p> <p>She was a nice lady, she showed me kindness when I was new to this country and didn't know anyone. Kindness back then that was rare, and I will never forget it.</p> <p>As much as I want to pay my respects, I'm wondering how common it is to attend a funeral while pregnant. I'm aware that it's taboo in a lot of cultures. I'm curious to hear what you ladies think.</p> <p>I'm not that superstitious, but would love to hear about things I can do or wear to offset any bad juju. </p>
