I had that when my baby was 7 weeks - sooo awful!! The only thing I could stomach for 2 days was the concentrated chicken noodle soup - couldn't even add water to it!

I hope it passes soon for you!!

You have so much sympathy from me. I had this twice my first year of grad school and it is awful. Sounds like you're doing well with the liquids. Hope you feel better soon!

@JoJoGirl: oh yes, it certainly has made me want to die. Luckily, the vomiting has subsided. My stomach still doesn't feel 100% and I'm looking at a very small all liquid diet today. Ugh, I just want to dip my whole house in Lysol so we don't get it again!

Oh noooo ;( I'm so sorry!!! I had once on a cruise a few years ago and it was the worst. We did a lot of work with noro at my old job and used to say "It can't kill you, but will make you want to die". Feel better! Agree with @FancyGem: see if you can get your hands on some compazine. I took that and Pepto when I had it and I think it helped.

We all had it a few months ago. I got it from my baby. We took the anti nausea pill that you get while pregnant (I forgot the name, but it is chewable).

I just got over that today. What a miserable time. I have no advice other than to keep trying to drink fluids, whatever you can force down, I puked up almost flat coke that I was choking down...not good. I lost 5 lbs in 24 hours...I'm still not 100% but I haven't puked since last night. Hang in there!

Dear Norovirus,

I kindly request you vacate the premises. No, I do not mean make me vomit more and my husband have more diarrhea. I mean get the F out of my body and house! You are not welcome here.

stlginkgo

Just got off the phone with my mom, she is refusing to come help me bc she doesn't want to get sick (I get it, but sometimes you just want your momma, no matter how old you are!) I need ideas on how to stay hydrated and unvomitty fellow bees. I currently am in bed with a huge cup of ice cips and a giant Gatorade (but its kinda icky..) I am VERY worried about my milk supply if I get dehydrated. LO#2 is only a little over a month, she needs her mommy milk!

I debated this at a mall yesterday when I was putting all my stuff together, but thought better of it!

Then again, he is in daycare and I'm pretty sure that the germs are worse there than in many public places!

I feel like when LO was in his crawling phase (which honestly only lasted a month), it was rare that we'd be out in a public place and not want him in his stroller or the Ergo or something like that for reasons totally separate from hygiene concerns. Like, if I'm going to the grocery store, I have stuff to do and I want LO contained. There weren't many public places we visited where we'd just be chilling in a single area for any length of time, you know?
But even once LO started walking, we were pretty lax about where he put his hands and when they went into his mouth. We definitely went to zoos and outdoor festivals and pick-your-own farms and museums and such and didn't wipe his hands after touching stuff that thousands of other people had been touching.

I try not to let her do that because I'm a germaphobe too. But if she must (like at an indoor playground) I just wipe her up right away and wash her hands.

There's a bookstore we go to sometimes that has a Children's room with a big floor mat and toys and such. That's about the only public place I've let him crawl. And our local library.

I'm not a big germaphobe, but the thought of my LO crawling on the ground in public places and then putting his hands in his mouth does gross me out a bit. I suppose there's no real way to prevent this unless I only let him reign free when he can walk, right? So, did you, and when, did you let your LO crawl around in public places? Did you clean their hands afterwards?
