It's especially annoying when it's mispronounced by people I've already corrected. Some (read: a lot) of people I think just don't hear the difference in what they are saying vs. what they think they are saying - and that's not something you can correct them out of easily. Yes, it's been frustrating to have my name miscalled/mispronounced more often that not - and my name isn't even "weird" or spelled weirdly!. Odds are very good that I'll be called the wrong name in most every public situation (like calling out food orders, phone calls to me, etc.)</p> <p>With this name, I don't think were in the same ballpark as "mild mispronunciation", like I said, I would anticipate total butchering on a regular basis by people in the US. </p>
