After my withdraw bleed, I got my period 27 days later. My cycle's pretty much been that with the exception of a day longer or a day shorter. I also got pregnant shortly after that, but miscarried. I think it is totally normal for it to take a few months for your body to get back on track. She said that each body is different and while some will get a period immediately, some won't. She did emphasize that if I didn't get my period right away, it would in NO WAY indicate that I was any more or less fertile that anyone else. However, after three months she would want to see if there were underlying issues.</p> <p>Do you have a good relationship with your doctor's office? I think I have one of those super-long first cycles off the pill to look forward to.If you really want to know if/when you are ovulating you might want to try charting, too. It's the only way to know for sure -- you can still get your period if you haven't. The next cycle was 26 days and this recent is pretty much a normal cycle of 28. Depending on how your body adjusts it can take about 3-4 months for your body to get periods on its own (from my extensive Googling research).
