@lawbee11: he's definitely having wet diapers. I guess he doss seem hungry sooner than usual after a big spit up. Going 1.5 hours instead of 2 - 2.5 hours.

@HabesBabe: frustrating! How do you know your ratio?

@.twist.: I think as long as he is having a good number of wet diapers and doesn't seem upset when he spits up then you should be ok. Is he usually hungry after he spits up? M spits up but is usually hungry soon after. And sometimes her spit up seems like it was the entire feeding's worth. I think it looks like a lot more than it is when it's coming out of their little mouths.

@.twist.: I had the same situation as @Chastenet:-- green poop due to foremilk/hindmilk imbalance. It doesn't have to do with how much LO eats, but the ratio your body makes the milk. I was pumping a lot, so my body was used to making more foremilk than it started off with.

It cleared up for us in about a week!

@lawbee11: yea, I've been block feeding him and I sit him more upright while feeding him because I have a fast letdown as well. He definitely doesn't seem super upset when he spits up, but the volume of it has just seemed so much more in the last couple days.

I will try using the same boob for 2 feeds before switching, as I usually switch after each feed. Although we've never had a problem before. :/

@autumnlove: haha oh no!! I haven't pigged out con any peanuts lately, but that is kind of funny! Glad it was nothing serious.

M occasionally has green poop. I think it's due to a fore milk/hind milk imbalance. I've started block feeding her (only feeding her on one side per feeding) and usually if she's hungry within 2 hours of her last feed I'll put her back on that same boob. It's definitely helped. She's also been spitting up a lot, but it's because I have a forceful letdown so she'll start coughing/gagging because the milk comes out too fast. I've noticed it helps if I lean back while nursing and if I sit her more upright. Does he seem upset when he spits up? M is a "happy spitter."

@BananaPancakes: thanks! That's a little reassuring that it's a cold. Not that I want him to be sick, though.

@Chastenet: thanks! He's eating the same length of time as he normally does, so I don't think its a fore/hind milk problem. Although, he's been spitting up a LOT more than normal and I'm wondering if maybe he isn't getting the full amount of fatty milk because of that?? Not sure.

PS. I would keep monitoring his temp and behavior and call your Dr if he does get a fever or starts to behave unusually. If not, I wouldn't worry if it's just the green poops.

He's 2 months? Is he ebf?
My LO had a period of green poops around 2-3 months - I even consulted with a lactation consultant. As it turns out, it was no big deal, and was most likely just due to an imbalance of fore milk to hind milk. Getting too much fore milk can cause green poops because they aren't getting enough of the fat from the hind milk - so basically I just had to put her on the same breast twice to make sure she was emptying it and getting the hind milk.

My 17th month old has a cold right now and has had a few green poops in there. I just assumed it was from the snot. The only other times he had green poop was from blueberries and too much foremilk when he was little and nursing.

My little guy has had green poops for the last 4 or 5 poopy diapers. He's also been spitting up/vomiting a lot more that usual. I've taken his temerature a couple times and it seems low.

We had his brothers over for the weekend and both of them were on the verge of sickness, now they are all (including their mom) sick.

I haven't changed anything in my diet, our routine is pretty much the same as it's always been. Although, he did have his 2 month shots on Monday.

I'm trying to figure out if he's sick or maybe these are just shot symptoms?

I checked out this list from kellymom and I'm hoping that he is just a little sick and nothing more serious. :/ http://kellymom.com/health/baby-health/m2m-green-stools/

Any thoughts on green poop?? Does this sound like just a cold?
