One other note. Green tea definitely promotes CM, but avoid caffeine around ovulation. I've read a lot about it causing disruption particularly around O.

I have a 28 day cycle like clockwork. I track the start of my periods on fertility friend, and have tracked 14 cycles. We're not ttc yet, but I was just trying to work on my nutrition so far. I'll def look into the the FertileCM!

I would second using the Fertile CM. I used green tea for a long time, and still do sometimes, but once I started Fertile CM I saw a huge improvement. I take the fertilaid for women too!

I haven't tried green tea myself, but don't get discouraged if the OPK isn't positive by the end of the week, especially if you aren't charting (so aren't sure when you're fertile). Mine don't usually turn positive til CD19 or CD20! How long are your cycles?

I thought green tea just thinned it out, instead of producing more of it? You might want to try taking FertileCM or using preseed.

Not really ttc per se, but I was curious about my fertility as I have light periods and little to no cm during what *should* be my fertile time. I only chart periods, not temps. So, I've started taking opks, and today is cycle day 12 with still no positive opk. Hopefully, I'll get a positive by end of the week? Anyways, I wanted to start drinking more green tea to see if I can get an increase in cm. For those of you who love green tea or started drinking it to increase cm (cervical mucus), how long until you started noticing results?

I also noticed a lack of CM. I drank green tea for a few months and didn't notice a difference. This cycle I took Clomid, so I upped the ante and used Mucinex. I didn't have any EWCM but I know Clomid lessens the amount. But I did get my BFP this cycle, so there was some good mucus going on.

I drink green tea too, to help with CM! (Although, I haven't noticed any difference myself.) I read somewhere that you should make sure to stagger the tea with your prenatals because it depletes folic acid. So, if you take your prenatal at night, try not to drink green tea around those same hours. My md suggested taking an additional folic acid vitamin just in case.

I've read (sorry I don't remember where, exactly) that grapefruit juice and some version of Robitussin also supposedly increase CM. Might be worth looking into, esp. the grapefruit juice.

I had no idea green tea is supposed to do this! I switched from coffee to green tea about 3 months ago and haven't noticed any difference. I drink about 8 oz a day though, so maybe you need more.

I actually just drank more water and that helped a lot. We conceived on cycle 2, but I'm not sure which "trick" did it. We used preseed, I ate pineapple, legs up, tons of water, fish oil, vitamin D, and prenatals. We also had sex 7 days in a row during my fertile period. No idea if it was pure luck, but something did the job! Good luck to you this cycle, and I would say, trying the tea couldn't hurt :)

I did this this past cycle, but honestly didn't really notice much of a difference. but I was only drinking about 8-12 oz a day...maybe you need to drink more to see a difference? Once AF arrives this cycle, which I''m anticipating she will, I'll probably try the green tea again, just because it can't hurt.

Worked for me! I'm a big tea drinker, but I'm not a huge fan of green tea, so I tried a few different things to make it work.
I bought flavoured green tea, which has the same benefits but tastes a bit better. Tetley makes a few great ones - you can probably find them at the grocery store.
At work, I found a green tea that I really liked (Sencha), and added a little maple syrup to it so that it didn't taste so boring.

I drank one or two cups a day, every day from CD1 to ovulation. It definitely worked for me - I don't have a whole lot of CM to begin with, so I noticed a difference for sure.

I'm moving onto my second cycle and trying not to look back.

Since coming off BC 5 months ago and charting this past month, I've noticed that I do not have a lot of CM and therefore it's difficult for me to see "O" coming.

I know some women have talked about drinking green tea to increase CM. Can you suggest some to me? I'm not a big tea drinker, but will try anything to increase my chances!

Thanks!
