I hope you recover soon! Feeling bad for so long has to be exhausting. :/ I was fortunate enough to get hemorrhoids in the second trimester, so I know how horrible those are! There was a point they hurt so bad when I changed positions at night that I didn't know whether I was going to throw up or cry! And I haven't even given birth yet :( Have you tried prep H or soaking in a warm bath (if you can find the time)

I just want to let you know that I had a really rough recovery as well, and that it WILL get better. I think it wasn't until 5 months postpartum that I stopped having regular pain (and honestly I would still have occasional stinging and the resurgence of the hemmies as various times for the first year.) I was so upset and felt broken and spent a lot of time worrying that it would never get better and crying about it, but I did. It just took time. My only real advice is to eat a TON of fruits and veggies to help ease the pain of going to the bathroom. And keep looking forward to the future, because it WILL get better!

@miss-spunkin: I am so sorry you're still feeling yucky! I just wanted to pop in with some random hemmorroid advice, though. I'm not sure how much it will help, but I've been dealing with varicose veins of the groin/vagina since around 30 weeks (hemmorroids are just varicose veins of the booty), and have found the best way to control the pain has been through

a.) soaking large cotton pads with 100% witch hazel twice a day and laying one on the area for a good 10 minutes.
b.) after that, I apply emu oil (gross) onto the area and let it soak in. Any time the area starts to throb, I just throw some more emu oil on it.

This has helped me immensely. It can't hurt to try on hemmorroids, since the two are similar, and I feel so lucky that I figured this out early on. It was almost unbearable to walk for a couple of weeks, but this method has seriously been a lifesaver.

Ouch! I had a 2nd degree tear, and the pain went away in about a month. Did you talk to the doctor about something you can do for the hemorrhoids? Have you tried sitz baths, or Tucks pads?

I was in a similar situation after my first birth. Now, I also tore from end to end during that delivery. So, my healing time was longer as well. I had similar issues with the going#2. I would cry even when I had to pee because I knew it was going to hurt.
I can assure you that you are not alone and that it does get better.
My oldest is almost 9 years old and I was brave enough to do it a second time and am now wanting to go through it a third and final time so trust me when I say it will get better!

I am getting so frustrated. Here I was thinking that week six was some magical number where I would feel perfectly normal again!
I am at week 5 now, and still in so much pain. The first three weeks, my vagina was soo sore from tearing/stitches, that started getting better then at three weeks I got awful hemorrhoids. Now I cry every time I go #2 and then my bum hurts ALL day! I have to sit on the boppy or else I can't even sit it hurts so bad.
Add that to my baby never wanting to be put down so I carry him/hold him all day long, and it makes for one frustrated mama.

I told my sister that I feel like the effects of childbirth will never go away, and she said, "Yeah I feel the same way." And she is 6 MONTHS pp!! That didn't give me any hope :(

pleeeeease tell me I will feel like a human again..
