This is an older post but I wanted to hear what happened. I have mild APS and I'm on low dose aspirin. I also have Sjögren's syndrome and tested positive for the anti-ssa antibody.

DH did mine. But it caused a lot of anxiety for both of us. He didn't think it would bother him, but once it was a reality he was a bit uncomfortable with it. I would have much preferred a nurse to come by!

For those that had progesterone shots starting at 15 weeks to prevent preterm birth/labor, who gave you the shot? I was planning on having DH give me the shot? However, I got note from my insurance company that they approved a nurse to come to my house every week to give me the shot.

A good friend of ours had this I believe. They discovered a DVT when she was in the hospital delivering her first. It was super scary for a couple weeks. The following pregnancy I know she was doing the daily injections and monitored by a high risk doctor and recently delivered their second. I'm sorry I don't know more of the details but I'll be thinking of you!

@Torchwood: That's a beautiful song, thank you for sharing. This does feel very isolating... and confusing and hard and unfair. For now, I'm just going to wait and see. I've been having some spotting (which I know can be common in first trimester) and hopefully I'll know more/feel more sure about things when I see my new OB next week.

Random, but this song always reminds me of us loss mommas. Especially the "this one's for the faithless, the experts at the fall, come on friends get up now, you're not alone at all." It feels so lonely, going through these huge scary, devastating things over and over. And in the end, we're just strangers on the internet. But know that we're all here for you, and my thoughts are definitely with you. If there's anything at all I can do, don't hesitate to ask.

Ugh, this just makes me so ANGRY. It's one thing to know that life isn't fair. It's another to see it in reality. After everything, you deserve so much better than this! Hugs.

I'll be honest, I don't think I could go forward with another pregnancy with something like that hanging over my head. I would be too scared to. Which is NOT to say I'm saying I think you shouldn't do it. Just that I don't think I personally would be able to face that. I feel like we always manage to beat the odds in the worst possible way.

That being said, I really hope you're able to find some peace with however you choose to go. I'm sure there are many, many stories of successful pregnancies with this, and I would really love to hear in a few months that you're one of them!

Has anyone on here been diagnosed with Antiphospholipid syndrome and gone on to have a healthy, complication free pregnancy and delivery?

I was diagnosed last week with APS and I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant. I started Lovenox shots 1x a day, and am taking a baby aspirin to reduce clotting risks. I had a miscarriage in March 2014 and went into early labor with my son in November 2014 where he died in childbirth. I had a very large subchorionic hematoma with my son. I've googled APS and pregnancy and am now terrified to continue with this pregnancy. I'm so scared of losing another baby, and of something horrible happening to me (I have a 2.5 year old daughter who needs her mama).

Any positive APS stories would be appreciated!
