I know that as LO grows older and naps decrease, the nanny will have less time to spend on chores and cooking, and I'm more than okay with that. My nanny does so much though, and I have to say, it's awesome!! We initially agreed that our nanny would do more or less what @MsLipGloss: mentioned - baby-related tasks - with the caveat that her #1 priority would always be the girls. That included measuring out formula, washing all bottles and toys, and doing all their laundry though. As it turns out, when she has time she does other things that need doing - watering the plants, emptying the diaper pail and our kitchen garbage, emptying the dishwasher, and folding our laundry if we leave it in the washer. As the girls get older she will make basic baby food/fork purees for them (part of her responsibilities include meal prep). We've never asked her to do any cooking for us - I felt weird about that.</p> <p>It seems pretty common for nannies around here to do this kind of stuff - one of the many reasons I love having a nanny!
