They sit in my closet and I never wear them. I do find them to be heavy and clunky...my mom has a pair of tall rainboots that she got at a farm and tractor supply store and they are SOO much lighter and more flexible and more comfortable. The "tread" on the bottom looks impressive but is pretty useless -- I didn't realize how bad until I slipped on some black ice and fractured my arm. It really only grips on grass/mud and dry pavement, I find the boots are too slippery to wear even on wet pavement, which defeats the whole purpose of rain boots. And my calves aren't huge, but I still can't tuck any pants other than skinny jeans inside. You'd need reeeealy skinny calves to be able to do that. That being said, I've had Tretorns before that cracked and leaked water. Had them on a trip to Seattle and promptly chucked them since they were useless.
