When it was warmer I got away with swaddling him in a warm blanket and putting a hat on him but it was well above freezing. I have a fleece jacket that I can zip most of the way over the ergo so I put that on and the my unbuttoned coat over that. I'm going to have to start wearing DD (9 weeks) to do daycare pickups for DS since it is hard to take the stroller to daycare (lots of stairs). However, it is pretty cold so I want to keep her in a snowsuit, but I have problems fitting her in the snowsuit and using the infant insert, she just seems too bulky that way. My coat doesn't really fit around both of us if I keep it open, and I get cold doing that too. I'm not interested in buying a bigger coat for baby wearing. It was a pain in the ass to get on at first, but DD really seems to loves it - she goes comatose once she's been in there for 3 minutes. Her legs seem a little squished in there, but I imagine she was even more cramped in the womb.
