We had a crabby baby and that first month was something of a nightmare. But that comes from knowing that at 3 weeks, LO was still taking a long time to BF (sometimes 45 minutes), and needing to feed her every 2.5-3 hours (timed from the start of the last feed) made doing anything tough. And we were still working out the BF kinks at 3 weeks, so I needed pillows and stuff to be able to do it well and make sure LO had a good latch. I had to leave LO at my parents and pump several times in the car while I was there (it was about 2 hours away). I'm not sure I would have felt comfortable leaving LO at 3 weeks, however with the wedding you described I would be completely fine with going and would have felt up to it. We RSVP'ed yes but told them that there's no way of knowing how I would be feeling or how labor will go. They are dear friends of ours, and have asked DH to be in the wedding. I know we won't need to RSVP until closer to the date, but in your experience is there any chance I could go? It will be a small afternoon wedding with a cake and punch reception. The couple said they would love it if baby and I could come...I'd sit in the back and have baby Grizz in a Moby. If LO is late or if I have a c-section, obviously that throws things off and I won't make it. I'm also worried about wrangling him myself for the first time since DH won't be there to help me. I am guessing it will be a game time decision, but I was just curious :) </p>
