It was perfect because it was the same group of girls and our families shared the cost/tasks. We are good friends with the other family, the girls parties are always on the same weekend, and the guest list overlaps by like 85%. Doing a joint party mean less cost for the host families, and less time commitment for the guests. I thought it was a great idea. Fewer weekend obligations FTW! FWIW, we'd be having the event at a kids activity place and we'd be splitting the cost, plus probably paying a surcharge for having more kids than included in the package (which I am totally fine with, there are 11 kids in total in my son's class). </p>
