While we were gone, my dog somehow (wtf) managed to pull the laptop off the coffee table and drag it about a foot away from the table. It was closed, but in sleep mode, and the cord was still plugged into the computer but not into the wall.</p> <p>When I saw it there on the floor, I was instantly thrilled that I bought the Geek Squad 1 year protection plan. The computer turned on fine and everything looked ok. I turned it off and a few minutes later turned it back on. Everything seems ok. I backed up the minimal stuff I had on there with Dropbox. </p> <p>Is there anything specific I should look for, damage-wise? A hinge didn't break on my computer. Apparently since my battery was older it swelled. Which of course has a safety net. There was a small hole in the net and the two girls thought it would be fun to pull on it and make the whole bigger. In which after some effort I am sure it finally ripped. So then they bounced around holding it singing "rip, rip, make it rip" She may have thought it was fun then, but def NOT fun when she got into trouble and no longer has a trampoline. She thought we could "just get a new one". NOPE- ONE buying just a replacement net cost over half what I paid for it when I bought it new, TWO thats not the point and we are pretty firm in having respect for your toys and the things you are priveleged to have. I could NOT beleive she did that. I didn't realize it until I closed it and set it down, but the little booger broke the hinge on my MacBook! I'm taking it to Apple tomorrow and sure hope they don't charge me to repair it because I know it will probably cost a ton if they do!</p> <p>Has your LO ever gotten their little hands on something expensive or dangerous and damaged it? </p>
