Hi! I have regular 28 day cycles ALWAYS. I'm TTC my 3rd and believe I'm 14 DPO. I've gotten BFNs so far. Usually I start spotting on 12 DPO and so far, nothing! Could my stress be making AF late? Any chance I could still get a BFP?

A few minutes one way or the other wouldn't bother me but 2 hours!! I understand that things happen but chronically late people and people who don't let you know that they are going to be late are just being plain disrespectful and are in essence saying that their time is worth more than yours.
I am also not a fan of lying to people abot the time of things so they will get there on time - people are adults and we shouldn't have to hoodwink them into acting responsibly.
That said, I wouldn't end the relationship over it, @LemonLimes advice was really good, also after 15 minutes late, just get on with your day as though she is not coming, and when she arrives you can say, "o, I figured you weren't coming as it got so late and I had other things to do"

I always try to be early but there have been a few times when I've been 10-15 minutes late. I absolutely hate when I'm late and I stress about it. I usually call or text though.

I don't mind other parents being a little late but 2 hours is nuts!

I am a very hardcore "early or on time at the latestest" person but since having a baby... all of that has changed because it became very difficult to be on time. I like it when people are late. I really don't mind... I think it all depends. I remember before cell phones when there was no communication and you woukd be left time wasted and not knowing when people didn't show but phones have changed all that.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Thanks for your advice - that's very good advice. My issue is, she wants to "do something" with us every other weekend if not every weekend (that's way too much in my books but I don't know how to say no. grr). I don't have that many plans that I could just ask her to "come and flow along and if I don't see you we'll see you next time". She wanted me to go with her to an outdoor event with the LOs next weekend, and I actually rearranged a class schedule that we just joined so I could go with her. After last night, I have decided not going. I don't want to risk being left out in the cold mountains with LO by myself (husband already said he's not going).

ETA : Wow, I voted (1) to begin with, but I realized my definition of "late" was an hour late. hahaha. I have actually grown to be very tolerable for a 10 minute late (individual) and 30 minute late for parents with babies. But for myself I am always early/on time or try to be on time when I have LO along.

My approach is that unless I'm attending an event with a firm start time, anything within 10 minutes of on-time is interchangeable for me.

I start to get a little impatient once the ten minute mark is crossed, but, I easily tolerate lateness up to 15 minutes. If someone is running more than 15 minutes late, I really want them to let me know before the time we were intended to meet up. If they're running that late, they've known they were running behind for a while, and it is inconsiderate not to let me know too.

@irene: sounds like she is a habitual time waster. Instead of making plans to do things with her. I would invite her along to do things you are already set to do. Give her a time when you will be there. If she shows on time great. If she shows up late okay, but don't let her arrival mess with the rest of the day you already have scheduled. " nice to see you, we've been here since 2. Now we are off to this next thing. Catch you another time."

I successfully taught a time waster friend not to mess with my timme by making other plans when I couldn't reach her to confirm. In the past our plans would be delayed way too long. So by the time she called me 1.5-2 hrs after our proposed meet time I was having dinner with someone else.

If it's very occasional and for a good reason, then I totally understand. But if you're ALWAYS late? No. I can't. It drives me INSANE, largely because I think it's incredibly rude. Basically, to me, it says that they think their time is way more valuable than yours.

My dad and step mother are chronically late and it is a huge issue for me - particularly now that I have a baby's schedule to factor in as well. It seems to me that people should be able to figure out how to budget their time in order to be where they need to be on time - the rest of us somehow manage.

For me, it's okay to be late and for a reasonable amount of time... but please call or text or something! That way, I'm not waiting and waiting and waiting...especially when there are LOs waiting with me. I try not to be late but late is part of my world now that I have two kids. I try to plan ahead of time but sometimes something happens with one of them right before we leave and I end up being late. But I always call. And I try not to be more than 15 mins late if I can help it. Sorry about your recent experience though. I would be annoyed too... :\

Growing up my mom was always late for everything. I couldn't stand it. So now I am the opposite--I am always early/on time. I guess being on the receiving end of having your parent late to everything (including your games, concerts, appointments, etc) makes you very intolerant!

I'm extremely punctual, I'm one of those you show up 15 mins early and you are on time people. It drives my dh nuts. All of my friends are notorious for being late. When I go out with them I will show up 30 mins late and I'm usually on time.

Depends what it's for. Chronically late people? No, but I don't know anyone like that. If someone is late b/c of traffic, got stuck at work, etc, I'm understanding. Those things do happen.

If someone was going to be more than an hour late, though, I would have just rescheduled. That is unacceptable. Two hours is mind-blowing.
