@blackbird: Yeah, I switched for the cost too, as I have been doing a crazy ton of laundry the older he gets. I saw this article this morning and was really shocked at the amount of kids! I know ours looked really pretty, like blue candy and I'm hyper vigilant about checking the floor, but I've caught him with stray pieces of dog food more times than I care to admit :P

Like all chemicals, they should be kept away from children. We use powder...pods are $$$. And all of it's kept high. 17,000 kids is a lot of kids

We use liquid laundry detergent too, but dishwasher pods. They used to be stored under the sink but I moved them to an upper cabinet once she became mobile, even though that lower cabinet is locked. Not worth the risk and she still loves putting things in her mouth!

We use liquid laundry detergent, and it's kept way out of D's reach (I practically have to stand on tiptoes to reach it). But once he bit into a dishwasher pack. I caught him just as his teeth ripped it and he didn't get any of the powder in his mouth (THANK GOD). So yeah. Those are stored up high, now, too. Scary shit.

LO throws the bleach tab (Honest's version) into the washer when we do laundry. I don't use the laundry tabs. Usually, he's far too interested in the water or clothes to care about the detergent or tab.

Mine are locked up, but as an extra precaution, I only get the kind that are also individually wrapped up (this is dishwasher…we already use liquid laundry detergent.)

I just used up my last one this week and switched to using liquid detergent. My LO picks up everything and puts it straight in his mouth and this article is scary!
