Welcome, @Mrs. Marshmallow!

Our NIPT results came in tonight: low risk and a girl. I had no preference, but I've caught myself slipping and saying "she" a few times over the last few months, so I think I'd have been really surprised about a boy. Still awaiting an AFP result, but a weight has been lifted.

I've gone on half a dozen daycare tours and have more lined up this week. Still no guarantees, but I can't really start a backup nanny search until the spring. I don't want to reactivate my Facebook account, but according to one center director that's about the only way to find a nanny share.

I still haven't told hardly anyone. You'd have to not have seen me for a while and catch me at the end of the day to suspect anything by looking at me. I was scheduled to do a body composition (more muscle building than weight loss) challenge this fall, and my first weigh-in was the day I was supposed to start my period. I was told I'd lost 2" everywhere but my bust, which had gone up 2", and went home to POAS. I went to the follow-up weigh-in at 14 weeks, and other than an extra half an inch around the hips, nothing had changed. I have a 1:1 meeting with my new manager this week and the next one is after my anatomy scan so I might be able to make it until then!

@earthling: @skiierchck99: Glad to hear from you guys! Awesome news on the heartbeats! We heard a HB several weeks ago at 7 weeks and ai am super nervous for our appt next week at 13 weeks. I've been om Zofran for almost 3 weeks, most of the time I still have a stomachache.

Hitting a hard milestone though, the due date of the baby we lost this spring. That, combined with waiting to see this baby's heartbeat again has me on edge.

I'm definitely showing, but hiding it. Can't wait until after the next appt to announce and ket it all hang out :silly:

@earthling: congrats on hearing the hb! I also had an appointment today and heard the hb for the first time on the Doppler. So exciting! I waited to tell most everyone on my first pregnancy but I’ve told more people sooner this time - it’s too hard to suffer in silence with a toddler to care for too. I didn’t really show until between 16-20 weeks on my first so you may be fine! (Second time around I’m already showing/still showing from my last 😂)

How is everyone doing? I got to hear a heartbeat for the first time today, and passed an early gestational diabetes glucola challenge with flying colors. Still haven't told anyone else - going to strategically reach out to some other recent, older first-time parent friends for child care search advice once I'm officially in the second trimester, and then hope I'm not obvious before January.

I had a good appointment last week - good heartbeat, and they saw the reason I'd spotted. Have a few deviations from the usual schedule for a first pregnancy after 35 with a few extra pounds, including having to wait a little longer for NIPT, but I'm not being officially labeled "high risk" just yet. Also tapering off an antidepressant that's been great for my focus at work but almost immediately raised my blood pressure when I started it a year ago. So far I feel okay.

I'm still wearing all my regular pants, just unbuttoned / with a bellyband. I can button them, it's just really uncomfortable. I do nervously check to make sure my open fly is covered every time I stand up!

I'm currently reporting to an interim manager I've worked with before and consider a friend, but I'm still trying to hold off on telling anyone at work until the new year, if possible. Right now the only people who know are medical professionals, my husband, and my BFF (who I told after my first appointment). We also put in an application with my husband's employer's daycares now that we have a confirmed due date. Childcare is scarce here and it would be really hard to return in my field if I took time off.

@maybebaby: Hey! Happy to hear from you! That's so awesome you've told your kids! We won't tell DD until our 14 week appointment, due to our loss history. She is dying for a baby and has asking a minimum of weekly for a year.

Are you still fitting into your pants? I can, but I don't want to. I busted out a pair of dress pants and a pair of pricey StitchFix jeans I bought just before our loss (gotta get my moneys worth!). Of course they don't fit great because I have nothing to hold them up, but its better than packing my upset belly into regular pants. I'm a little nervous about concealing it until 14 weeks at work, but I also don't really care that much. I'll tell my boss next week.

How's everyone doing? We told our kids last week and that was one of the best feelings in the world. They are beyond excited and my mama heart feels very full. I feel like I am totally showing (10w4d) and trying to keep it from work until after NT scan.

My EDD is May 31 so I’ll probably pop into both the May and June boards! I’ve been holding off on joining any because I still don’t feel that pregnant (and I definitely did by now with dd1) which makes me nervous about the viability of the pregnancy. Years of infertility and fertility interventions before my first makes me skeptical about everything! This was my first FET for baby #2.

Location: metro Boston
EDD: 5/31/19
How far along: 6w 2d
First child? Nope! Dd1 will be 20 months tomorrow.
First doctor appointment: I’ve had 3 beta but the viability ultrasound is scheduled 10/18.
Any symptoms so far? Tiredness, maybe a hint of nausea or breast pains but honestly nothing making me “feel” pregnant.
Who have you told? DH - I’ll tell a few close friends and family after the US next week if it’s favorable.

We won't announce until after our 14 week appointment. I'm a little nervous what is going to happen in the belly growth area in the interim...

@SweetCaroline: Ah congrats on a great appointment, so happy to hear this!

@earthling: Glad apt went well but sorry it was uncomfortable!

We had first apt Friday and baby measuring right on track! We got the see the happily beating heartbeat which made all this feel more real. We have not told our kids or families yet and I am eager to do so, but our schedules are so packed and don't know when we'll find the time! And we def don't want to tell kids until we know when we will see families because I am sure they cannot keep a secret LOL.

I spotted a little Thursday, so they brought me in for an early ultrasound Friday. That was a bit of an uncomfortable ordeal - she claimed it's because I have a tilted uterus but I've had intravaginal ultrasounds before that didn't hurt at all. Measuring behind by LMP but right on schedule by estimated ovulation date. We saw a heartbeat, but I am pretty sure the one they measured was mine (it lined up in my Fitbit data). Betas before/after weekend came back great! First "real" OB visit (and another ultrasound) is Wednesday.

I still tire easily but so far everything's manageable. I eat small meals all day and that seems to keep queasiness at bay. While I've been losing weight, I've already had to go up a cup size and start raiding my husband's tee shirt drawer. I'm two weeks out from the first appointment.
