It's a very fun read. I am about 40-50 to the end, and it has gotten more exciting. There is a lot less sex than Outlander though. I wouldn't say I love the books, but I do find Jamie and Claire interesting. Maybe that's part of why I love the French series so much - because there's so much going on with the characters you don't have time to guess what's coming!
