@Mary Mary: I like it so far! I'm about 40% done. There's a lot of imagination and imagery. It's been recommended to me by a couple friends who have very similar taste so I thhink I'm going to really enjoy it.

I am reading "No Name," by Wilkie Collins, who is one of my favorite authors. It's a very fun read. This is the 4th book by him that I've read, and while it's not the first one I'd recommend, and the plot is kind of ridiculous, it is also deliciously engrossing.

@mrsjazz: Oh! I've seen that movie. I enjoyed it right up until the end, it was so unsatisfying! haha I wonder if I would enjoy the book more, anyway. Thanks! I will add that one to the list!

@JerricaBenton: I am totally going to add Girl on the Train to my list after all of you girls talking about it, sounds so interesting!

@avivoca: I am so conflicted whether or not to keep going in the Outlander series. I really enjoyed the first one, but everything I hear about the following books is so mixed!

@shellio: I feel the same way. I am about 40-50 to the end, and it has gotten more exciting. There is a lot less sex than Outlander though. I wouldn't say I love the books, but I do find Jamie and Claire interesting. At this point, I'm reading this book to see why the beginning is the way it is.

@MediaNaranja: Yeah, I feel like Gabaldon's books are an investment of a lot of time. She takes awhile to get started, and then is very detailed. Sometimes too detailed. I'm trying to figure out if I want to read the next one. I may take a break since I just finished Outlander before this one.

I just finished Big Little Lies and Girl on the Train. I enjoyed both but I liked Big Little Lies Better. I felt like most of the people in Girl on the Train had few redeeming qualities and I didn't really like any of them, so it was a little hard to get into. Now I just started The Nightingale. It's supposed to be amazing, and so far so good!

@JerricaBenton @mrsjazz: Totally agree about Girl on the Train being uncomfortable. I kept telling my H, "I'm reading this book and it's creeping me out, but I have to keep reading to figure out what happened." I was also surprised by the ending, I had predicted something else! There was just something...unsettling about the book.

@mrsjazz: haha I'm always trying to guess mystery endings so maybe that's why I guessed it. Maybe that's part of why I love the French series so much - because there's so much going on with the characters you don't have time to guess what's coming! I also liked Gone Girl better than Girl on the Train. I think because the narrator is so confused because of her issues, it made it so uncomfortable to read.

Glad to hear Broken Harbor is good! Have you read them all? Which is your favorite? I think mine is The Likeness. I was so sucked into that story!
