Ok. I don't combine the bottles, and only do one bottle a day... and last week I didn't do any at all, so I was really surprised when the fat% dropped from like 8 or 10% to like 1 or 2%. (Yes I do math when I open the fridge--weirdo over here!)
But I have been drinking a lot of water this week, so that could be it. I hope that's what it is.

@pastemoo: I think so --but mainly I notice fat content only after it's been in the fridge. Because we go through it so fast and because I tend to combine the milk I don't notice it coinciding with certain times of day. Perhaps it is also sue to what you have eaten too.

@pastemoo: Yea, it really could be anything. The amount of water you drank, how full/empty your breasts are when pumping, and even if you happen to empty a more full duct.

Yeah sometimes the milk separates differently depending on how cold it is or how long it's been in the fridge. I pump exclusively and have noticed this. My son is small but has grown in leaps and bounds since birth so I don't worry about it.

@Thehistoryofus: Ok. It's the same fridge/same spot, but I need to take your advice and not worry about it!

I have noticed a bit here and there but I think the amount that separates can be due to a lot of different things (including how cold the milk is being kept). I don't worry about it!

Have you notice that milk (in the fridge) has different fat content at different times? I only pump sometimes, so I don't know if this is a time of day thing or a weeks of development thing.
This week I noticed a big drop in fat content.

Any insight?

ETA: LO is 2.5 months now, at 2 months he was in the 82 percentile for weight (13lb 5 oz), so he's a pretty big guy.
