@HLK208: I took some advil last night because they hurt like a B! Today is better though. Also, you don't realize how much your LO touches your chest! One was btwn the girls and the other was right above them so it has been interesting to keep the little hands away!

Ouch! That's got to be hard with nursing! Are you taking any Advil or anything to help?

I have had two removed. One was on my shoulder because was it was extremely dark, it was benign though. The other was on my thigh and it contained cancerous cells. They removed more later and it really hurt later on. I have a giant scar from it too.

I've had I think 10 moles removed, kind of comes with the pale skin/freckle territory. Most of them were on my back, one on my shoulder, one on my arm, and the worst was the one in my belly button. That hurt so badly and it just kept pulling and stretching every time I moved so it took forever to heal. That one scared me though because it came out of nowhere and it did come back as an abnormal mole so I'm glad I'm super paranoid about skin cancer and noticed it before it turned into anything.

Yep, I had one mole punch biopsied and later had a wide local excision performed to remove the remaining atypical tissue, a shaved biopsied mole, again, later resulting in a wide local excision to remove the remaining atypical tissue, and then another shaved biopsy that came back normal... Reeeeally glad I spent years tanning... ;)

@Mrs. J: Just my primary physician. I had plantar's warts and they were a huge nest right on the ball of my foot. They froze them, which caused a huge blister on the bottom on my foot, but they've been gone ever since. I had try the over the counter stuff for them, but it wasn't cutting it. So, my doctor used the tough ammo on it. That was over 10 years ago, and they're still gone.

I was going to have a mole removed, but the dermatologist recommended doing it in two parts so the scarring would be less noticeable. I completed the first procedure but never went back for the second because by then, it was a new calender year for my insurance and it took too long to heal. The first few days were a bit tough as the mole was near my shoulder area and I was advised not to pick up things that were too heavy or lift too often....of course, how can I not do those things with a LO, right? In the end, the mole is still the same size, just not as dark? All for nothing, maybe? At least it's good to know that it's benign.

I had one removed from my stomach while I was in high school. The doctor was concerned because it was growing and changing too much. He took a little extra tissue from around it as well. Lucky for me it came back benign. I was glad to be rid of it since it was pretty large and ugly. I have a ton of other moles that have to be monitored by the derm twice a year.

Yes! They "punched" them out to do a biopsy, but I was left with a ring of mole where it extended beyond the instrument they used :/ So weird looking.

I have one that I need check and have been meaning to post about it. It was diagnosed as a blue nevus in HS, but I recently noticed it is bi-(possibly tri-) colored and the colors of the mole are different textures.

I had a large one removed from my leg in HS. I was born with it, and they thought they would wait until I was done growing, which wasn't the case. I grew almost 2 inches after that! Now I just have a big scar on my leg. My mom always called them beauty marks instead of moles :)

@Dandelion: possibly stupid question, but I might have to do that--where did you go to get that done?

I had about 20 removed from my upper chest and back a few years ago, various sizes. No scars, they said they would be pink for 6-12 months and then go back to normal. The freezing was the worst part, and for a long time I still felt where the big ones were.

I had one removed. It wasn't anything crazy, but I was really self conscious about it. Anyway, they removed it and put a penicillin antibiotic on it which made me break out because I'm allergic and now I have a scar there that looks similar to the mole and I'm still self conscious about it. haha
