i have the hip nari with eco straps. I actually love it. It doesn't go on the hips, it goes on your waist. Tight. The weight of your child will make it droop a little, but it's not uncomfortable. The eco straps makes it comfy because the weight is transferred to your shoulders and upper back in addition to your lower back. I still use it for my 2.5 year old when we travel. You can place it above your hip on the side or in front. But I like it in front.

Beco Gemini is good for FF. I've also used it for hip carries.

I like my beco Gemini for ff and a ring sling for up and down/quick trips.

@mauxie: I don't really FF but I've heard pretty good things about the ergo 360 and if you already love the ergo it might be a good option.

My LO also likes to see, so I use either a hip carry or a very high back carry. For hip carries I use a ring sling or woven wrap (you can hip carry in an ergo but I don't find it comfortable) and for high back carries I use a woven wrap or a mei tai.

@jetsa: I did try the hip carry once with DD but since she was happy just facing me so I didn't bother trying it again. Thanks for the suggestion! I always forget about that option. I'll try it out with DS.

@Arden: Okay~ skipping the nari! I have a moby wrap but am so used to the ergo now that I find it hard to do, if that makes sense.. I guess I need to just practice and will also try out the ergo on my hip :)

Do you have any FF suggestions? I kind of cringe inside when I see babies FF but DS will twist soooo much in the ergo to look around.. I think he just really likes that view. We also try just sitting him in the stroller but he definitely prefers to be held. I do use the back carry option and wear him a little higher on my waist so he can look out, but am considering getting something that has a FF option for when he is extra curious..

Thanks!

The reviews I've heard are not great, that it's super uncomfortable.

For FF I'd use a ring sling with the Buddha carry.

But the nari is a hip carry, not a front carry, and you can hip carry with a ring sling, mei tai, woven wrap, lots of carriers. I'd recommend a ring sling for quick up and down and comfort.

Is it a carrier? I've never heard of it but it looks to me like it's just a seat to help you support LO. I just can't see it being comfortable but I've never tried one.
Have you tried your ergo in the hip carry method?

Does anyone have the baby nari hip seat? With or without the extra eco strap??

DS likes my regular ergo but I'm considering getting another carrier so he can face out at times. I'd rather he have a "seat" so he isn't dangling. I've heard mixed reviews on the ergo 360 so am looking into the nari hip seat. I figure I can use this with DD as well since she likes to be picked up and put down constantly when we're out..

Anyone have experience with the nari? THanks!! :)
