@LulaBee: @yoursilverlining: I've found it also chips quickly but I use a Deborahh Lippman addicted to speed topcoat to set it. Most of my polishes chip quickly, though.

@LulaBee: No, I haven’t had that problem with Butter, but I also cover it with several coats of very unnatural and strong top coat now that I think about it :silly:

I love the Dr. Hauschka line of skincare (and body care) products. They are super, super natural and they also don’t contain any animal products/by-products or animal testing, and are vegan-friendly – you’ve really got to label check in the US because “organic” or “natural” doesn’t really guarantee things 100% of the time.

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE honey as a facial mask. You can use regular good quality honey, but I prefer raw honey, which they have at both our local grocery and our local natural foods market.

Tea tree oil for spot treatment blemishes. Oh, and I like the Jason brand lavender body wash – omg, smells so good!

I also really like Butter nail polish, which isn’t natural but is free from formaldehyde, toluene, and Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP).

@daniellemybelle: yep, that was my dad's go to for my hair growing up. Ananda Lewis turned me on to olive oil. I loved the lighter feel of it when I would use it on damp hair to preserve my curls.

Where are you all finding some of these raw ingredients? Amazon? whole foods?

A friend of mine swears by Jason or Toms toothpaste it's some guys name. I used it once and it's very bland, but effective.

I also make my own facial scrub using sea salt, muddled pineapple and Cetaphil, but that last ingredient isn't natural.

I love coconut oil as well, mainly as a body moisturiser for me and DS, but I also make it into lip balm or facial moisturiser along with jojoba oil. Jojoba is also great for taming and preventing frizzy hair, my nemesis.

Perhaps making the coconut oil into a lotion by mixing it with water, glycerine and an emulsifier would create a better moisturiser for your skin?

Loving the Burt's bees carrot night cream. I use cocunut oil to remove my makeup before I shower, but it doesn't seem to be strong enough for my very dry skin.

With LO1 I had an epi. With LO2 it was med free. The epi certainly made everything more comfortable, except for pushing. The med free birth was extremely fast, just 45 minutes from start to finish, but it was utterly excruciating. That said, the recovery was quicker.

I honestly don't know what I would pick if I had a 3rd...probably the epi!

If you've had both a "natural" and a medicated labour / delivery, which did you prefer and why?

My first labour was very medicated, almost thirty hours and included an epidural, pitocin, episiotomy and a ventouse delivery but my second labour was just shy of twelve hours with only gas for pain relief.

On one hand, the medicated labour was much more pleasant due to the epidural but recovery was longer and harder however on the flipside although recovery has been much easier after my "natural" delivery, spending almost five hours going through transition with just the gas was brutal and really unpleasant!

So how about it, which did you prefer and which would you choose to go through again?
