@BadgerMom: @littlebug: genius! I actually have some for our dog already. why didn't I think of this!?

@yin: @chopsuey: I'd never heard of this brand -- thank you!

@Bluebonnet: love ewg...I think that is how I ended up with some biokleen and ecos stuff in other cleaning areas. :) there is so much great info there.

@BadgerMom: I was also going to recommend bio-kleen. I use bac-out spray for the cloth diapers, and I use the detergent for mine and the kids' clothes.

@charlotte: I use Charlie's Soap. Was introduced to it by my SIL (who has kids with sensitive skin/eczema). Works great!

I would maybe try an enzyme cleaner like biokleen Bac-Out on the pee laundry. We use that on the towels we use for dog accidents and on our cloth diapers when they start to stink. Always does the trick.

@SweetCaroline: I used to use purex when he was a baby & liked that! good idea! & the vinegar!
@psw27: I may start with vinegar and then move to oxyclean if we need something else..good ideas!
@MamaG: also a good call! we've just been making a pile and washing end of day. definitely should be rinsing!

thanks all!! I knew you would have some good ideas. :)

I would add vinegar. Or rinse the soiled clothes as quickly as possible so the urine isn't sitting in them.

I add oxyclean occasionally to help with the odor, but I'm not sure if that would irritate your LO? I think some vinegar would help too.

I would recommend adding either vinegar or baking soda (not both). I use Purex's version of free & clear (white bottle, not the "natural" translucent green bottle) and am happy with it.

Laundry experts, HELP! We use All Free & Clear for everything these days in an effort to actually get the clothes clean (it seemed like 7th generation didnt) AND not irritate my son's super sensitive skin (it seems like everything gives him eczema).

That said, he's potty training and we have pee laundry for the first time. It seems like it still smells like pee after washing with the All F&C.... :bummed: We do an extra rinse cycle and all of that and still..ick. Any ideas for a better detergent or something that we could add? Thanks!
