I didn't take anything with DD1 & DD2. I didn't like taking anything (and do not like medicine or over the counter things in general). With DS, I had to, I couldn't function or work starting 7 weeks. Doctor suggested Unisom and B6. I took it until 21 weeks when I started finally feeling better. I would do it again if needed.

@pachamama: I know! Yikes! Not going to fill it. I literally couldn't function with #1 I was so sick, but this time so far (knock on all the wood) I have had some good days and not so good days but nothing like last time. Of course I wake up feeling good this am and then freak out that it means something is wrong. I'm just crazy! 😂😂

@jhd: (Hi!) Category C yikes!!

I have good days and bad days, with exercise, eating better, and staying superrrr busy helping so I think I will hold off on the Diclegis. The possibility of sleepiness (literally the ONLY pregnancy symptom I don't have  ) makes it not worth it.

@Mrs. Deer: I'm glad to hear about your positive experience with Diclegis compared to Zofran. I took Zofran during my first pregnancy, but I don't want to take it again. My OB is going to be out of town for a bit and she called me in some phenergen in case my nausea gets awful like last time, but I looked it up and I think it's a category C drug so I won't be filling it.

@pachamama: My doctor prescribed it without hesitation. It's calassified as category A in pregnancy, which is excellent. It's very safe. However, it makes me very drowsy and gives me a very dry mouth, even if I drink tons of water. I've switched to only taking it before bed to avoid feeling these side effects. It really does help with the nausea, though, so it's very worth you giving it a try.

I took it every day until the day I went into labor! My OB said it is totally safe so no need to suffer. I found in the first tri it helped, but wasn't a miracle worker. It did make me tired at the beginning, but I was tired anyway. I got used to it though. My insurance paid for it, I think a month's supply was $30.

I took Zofran with my first two pregnancies and did not want to do that again this time around. I was skeptical that Diclegis would work, but it was truly awesome. I think it worked better than the Zofran with less side effects. I took it until I think I was about 28 or 30 weeks. Started with taking two pills in the evening, one in the morning, and one in the afternoon… But was able to slowly drop down as the weeks went on.

@pachamama: I was like you, didn't take anything with my first. For me I had a love/hate relationship with diclegis. I was constantly trying to decide which was the more debilitating: being nauseous all the time or being exhausted to the point of falling asleep. Even though I took it at night, it always seemed to knock me out in the middle of the day when I was at work. My body never seemed to acclimate to the effects.

I'm pretty sure my reactionwas atypical, and I do believe it's perfectly safe.

I called the nurse line, and they called in a prescription for me, no problems. I paid $40 for 120 pills and had no problem with insurance approving it. I'm still on one pill at night at 16 weeks. I probably puked on average once per day even with diclegis for most of first tri and felt pretty blah, but it would have been much worse I think without it. I'm so glad for the people here who encouraged me to get on it fairly early, even though I could have held off a bit longer.

It did make me tired, but it's also hard to separate how much was diclegis and how much was normal first tri exhaustion. I think eventually my body got used to it, and it didn't really make me tired. I weaned my dose from 2 (1 in afternoon, 1 at night) to 1 this week and have noticed I've had more trouble sleeping since then, but am hoping I'll get used to having less of it within a week or so.

I took it from 5+5 until 19+2. My nausea started shortly after my positive test and was only getting worse, I never threw up but food didn't sound good and I just felt awful. It did make me tired in the beginning and so I only ever took the lowest dose, 1 pill at night. My RE prescribed it without issue but my insurance took over 2 weeks to approve it, thank goodness for free samples. Good luck mama

DW was on the max dose of diclegsis until literally the day our son was born! Her midwife didn't hesitate as she was so ill...nearly had to go to the hospital for fluids a couple times. It did make her drowsy at first so she took it at night and figured out other times during the day that weren't as bad (I'm not sure) but she got used to it I believe.

Seeing her so sick, I would not hesitate to take it for yourself. It's extremely common and safe to take. It's not worth it to suffer IMO when there is something that could help and has no adverse effects.

I'm not doing well this pregnancy with my nausea and with an 18month old it's not fair to anyone. I have nausea from 2 minutes after I wake up, strong waves of it all day until I go to bed. Not throwing up but I just can't function. I'm extremely nervous to take anything while pregnant, never took so much as one Tylenol with #1 but I'm desperate.

Did Diclegis make you drowsy? Did you Dr prescribe it without hesitation? Anything else I should know?

Like @SweetiePie: I tend to get early positives. I would wait until at least tomorrow to test, though, just because early faint lines can be so anxiety-inducing.

As for the symptoms... Without a positive test, they could be something or nothing.

Just thought I would share my experiences. When I was pregnant with #2, I didn't chart, but I tested at 13DPO and it was BFN. I thought for sure I was out, but when AF never came, sure enough I tested again and BFP!

With baby #3 I was charting and had a triphasic chart. I had seen people have them and end up not being preggo, so I didn't get too excited, but turns out in my case, it did indicate pregnancy.

That said, symptom spotting is a double edged sword, because AF symptoms mimic early pregnancy symptoms.

If I were you I would just get a bunch of cheapie dollar store tests and test each morning. I'm also a chronic early tester because I'm super impatient! GL!

I don't think 8dpo is too early. I got all of my bfps around 8dpo (8 twice and 9 once). I would test if I were you. But I'm a chronic early tester, many would say to wait.
Your chart looks promising. Good luck!

So, this is our fifth month trying to conceive. I have a strange looking chart. Trying not to get my hopes up, but everyone around me is pretty much telling me that I am pregnant. This just made it stranger. I know it is not technically "quadriphasic" if that is even a thing, but it's interesting, nonetheless.

Attached is my FF chart and it shocked me today when my temps went up AGAIN. I'm only 8DPO, so I know anything is possible, but it is improbable that I have already had implantation - IF I am pregnant. I also find it odd that my temps are so flat this time. They were very rocky before. I always temp at the same day, every day. One day in the middle of the week, i tested my arm just to see if the thermometer was broken - stuck on one number, and NOPE! It works.

The TWW is so difficult, right?! I usually don't know my period is coming until the DAY of it. I usually only have 11DPOs, so we'll see. I am not taking an early pregnancy test. (took one that wasn't an early test and it was negative. Go figure. That was dumb of me.) I plan to test on Sunday or Monday.

My symptoms, which I am kind of hesitant to call signs at this point, but they ARE getting stronger:

light headedness (HOWEVER - I have fainted a LOT in my life. Already talked to doctors about it. It's "normal" for me. The difference is that I haven't felt like this in a LONG time - and usually there are more unpleasant signs to go along with my fainting spells.)
Strong smelling urine (TMI, but this was only one day and I had not eaten asparagus - just strange)
hot flashes at night (I am always cold, especially at night. but my face has been flush for about 3 nights)
No appetite, I don't feel like cooking. (I actually enjoy cooking and have been meal prepping for a while. Nothing seems appetizing to me, but I eat because I have to. Did I mention that I also love eating good tasting food usually? Lol, who doesn't?)
I have been ravenously hungry at night - with no appetite. My stomach growls even after I have dinner. (I just think this is really strange, and WTF? I don't really want to have a second dinner. I am eating enough calories for myself.)
Sore nipples - Have had sore nipples since O. I usually just have sore nipples (maybe) two days out of a cycle. I haven't had them in a few months. Nothing excruiciating, so I am just thinking I am "back on track"
I had a pain on the side of my boob (really my rib cage - I have A cups, ok? LOL) one day. That has never happened to me. Could be anything though. Tight muscle perhaps?
Mood swings - but I tend to have these pre and during AF. This time, it's already lasted 5 days instead of the usual 2.
Okay, so also, I have acid reflux and headaches - two things I never get. I have had a sour stomach for two days and last night it was hard to sleep due to reflux feeling. The first night I felt that, I actually felt like I was going to have to go to the bathroom. VERY unexpected.
Lost 3 pounds in a month - I am only 5'1" and started out this month at 115lbs. (Yes, I want to maintain and possibly get to 110 for my petite frame, but it took me MONTHS to go from 125 to 115. about .25-.5 pounds lost per month WITH effort. This month, I have been a bump on a log due to work and night school. Again, WTF? Eating about the same amount of food. I log my food in myfitnesspal.com everyday - for two years actually.)
So, here I am wondering if I am just getting sick and my temperature is just rising and my body is doing weird things pre AF, or if this could be our month.

My husband threw up twice today and he is NEVER sick. EVER. I don't think I have EVER known him to throw up in the 6 years I have known him. Then I read about some weird syndrome some men have when TTC, or when their wife is pregnant and they feel similar symptoms. Odd. I didn't believe it and then a few family members enthusiastically confirmed that men can get sick too. WTF?

Just wanted to share all of this. I'm patiently waiting now for the weekend and curious about it all. I am not as excited or hopeful as when we first started TTC. I just keep track of every little "different" thing now. I've already had false hopes a couple of times, so now I'm just doubtful of everything and analyzing it.

The thing that throws me off is everyone else telling me I am pregnant. I don't want to accept it. I thought I was before and was wrong. The minute I told people I was dizzy, 5 family members said "You're pregnant!" When I told my best friend my "symptoms," she also said it sounded like it. Ugh. Everytime something is different for me, I always think "but it could be due to something else." I talked to my boss today who had to try REALLY hard to conceive, and she said when she was pregnant with one of her kids, she noticed signs at 6DPO, but she had told me that my signs are really early. She was doubtful, but said I am not out yet. She advised to wait to test and see what happens.

I'm a bit off topic... the TWW will do that, I suppose. Has anyone ever seen a quadriphasic temperature chart?

I had some symptoms even before I knew I was pregnant. It was a combination of them that kind of tipped me off.

Before my BFP and before I thought/knew I was pregnant:
Increased appetite.
Backache.

Before my BFP and starting to consider I was pregnant:
Increased appetite.
Backache.
Cramps.
Irritability (less than typical PMS)
Tender breasts.
Feeling full/hungry at the same time.
Slight nausea I mistakened for anxiety.
Digestive system slowing down (heartburn, constipation, diarrhea, gas, bloating).

After BFP:
All of the above plus frequent urination
