We identified friends who are named as lo's guardians in our will. We asked them in person, after explaining why we wanted them and how we hoped they would be involved in her life. It was a sweet moment.

Does anyone have godparents for their children without doing a ceremony? DH and I personally don't believe in baptism until a child is old enough to make the decision on their own, so we won't be doing that for E. We were thinking about doing a dedication ceremony, but are in the middle of finding a new church and it just might not happen until E is older. Did you just ask in person? Do it in a cute way? Thoughts?
