I had many elaborate schemes that included: </p> <p>1) calling the restaurant ahead of time and describing what I was wearing and instructing them to make my drink a virgin even though I ordered it as alcoholic (which totally worked). </p> <p>2) holding a beer/wine in my hand and pretending to take sips and every so often DH would take a 'taste' while he actually gulped it down making it look like I was drinking it (this got him super drunk on several occasions)</p> <p>3) When at home, we made 'fake cocktails' which was very hard to do since normally people watch you like a hawk when you're making a drink to see how much/what you're putting in it. Alcohol gives me migraines, so I really can't. And then I could always say I was getting a migraine/having a bad head day so I couldn't. I've had people bring my nonalcoholic beer (in a pint glass) and fakey mixed drinks.</p> <p>@Ocean girl: Oh I forgot I did this! I actually started one right before I found out I was PG so it was believable to some, I think. My best friends I just went ahead and told because they would be suspicious regardless - I always have at least one drink when out.</p> <p>I think the antibiotics excuse is tough with women, because many are familiar with it as PG coverup.
