I would call your physician, get the billing codes and ask for a pre-determination letter from Tufts based on those billing codes. Basically different documents say contradicting things and even the insurance rep was confused. </p> <p>Does anyone here have the Tufts HMO Advantage plan and was your NT scan and bloodwork covered?</p> <p>My Dr. didn't even mention that it was an optional test and after i asked she said if i opted out of it then i wouldn't get a single ultrasound until 20 weeks. Not even a dating scan. I'm currently 11w4d. Scans like that make me so nervous (she isn't smiling. does that mean something's bad? etc etc, I'm crazy) so it just slipped my mind.</p> <p>I have heard that if baby is in the right position it's VERY obvious (either way!) at the NT scan point. So from my understanding it's more an issue of position at this point.
