@lioness21: Aww hang in there! I def don't think irregular cycles is an indicator of anything really! I'm sure others will chime in here too. We usually have monthly POAS threads for support/solidarity!

@snowjewelz: I feel like I don't want to stress myself out too early on in the process and want to just see how nature takes it's course over the next few months, I will look into buying OPKs in the future to confirm. I've actually purchased a BBT thermometer online (as we don't have them readily available in the country I live in) and I'm waiting for it to arrive so I can start charting to identify if I'm ovulating! I've always had this irrational fear that I will suffer with infertility because of the fact that I have irregular cycles, but I know that I need to trust in God's plan for my life ☺️

@lioness21: Yeah, that's why I went to using OPKs because my cycles post pills were not regular and I couldn't tell with any other symptoms and it was just a lot to BD all the time haha!

@snowjewelz: I always had an irregular cycle pre-BCPs, usually ranged between 30-40 days, once I had an 18 day cycle. Coming off the pill I had a 28, 14, 19, and 24 day cycle, currently on CD22 and hope it lasts longer this cycle. I have no idea if I'm ovulating, I did have some spotting on CD16, I feel like I can't say I'm TTC because I don't actually know when I'm ovulating, we've just been BDing EOD and we'll see what happens.

@lioness21: So exciting! When I was trying for my first, after I came off pills, I just could not NTNP once I learned all about TTC haha. I tried to chart and figure out my ovulation for 2 cycles but was too confused, and went straight to using OPKs my 3rd cycle and conceived! Then my LO2 was conceived while NTNP

I stopped BCPs in June and we pulled out for a few months, we decided to NTNP this month and see what happens, will probably actively TTC if it takes longer than 6 months, this will be our first!

Welcome!

We're kind of NTNP... I don't think we're going for a 3rd, so I loosely prevent mid-cycle, but also not actively preventing either.

@emsmems we aren't even really TTC! We were going to NTNP although we haven't really. Things have kind of been the same as usual. Sometimes we are careful, and sometimes we aren't, but if I did O early, there would def be a chance because we weren't doing anything to avoid around that time since I'm usually in the clear around that time!

@umbreon It has been about 3 years or so since I have temp'ed, so I forget how much it ranges! I picked up a new thermometer yesterday so I can start getting in the habit again! I should have known though, because my cycles have been pretty irregular since I stopped breastfeeding about 6 months ago. They have been anywhere from 25-34 days long.

I had one cycle where I was very dry and barely had EWCM. My O pain was weird that cycle as well. I happened to be temping though, and very clearly ovulated. AF came exactly two weeks later as I'd expected based on the chart.

I've also had it happen where I've ovulated way earlier than I was expecting. It doesn't happen often, but it happens now and then. I've been keeping track of my periods and symptoms for a year and a half now, and I've been temping for maybe 4-5 months. I can tell you, even though I'd say my cycles are super regular, it's not REALLY regular. I've ovulated as early as CD10 (only once this early though) and as late as CD19. I usually ovulate between CD13-16. I always get AF two weeks later though, so it's predictable in that way.

I wrote a big post and my phone deleted it. Ugh.

You never know. In August I had NO signs of ovulation (usually I have EWCM and cramping/twinges with ovulation but nada). I did OPK's from day 14 on (usually ovulated on day 16ish) and they were all negative. And lo and behold, I got pregnant! We had sex on days 10,12, and 14, so I'm guessing I ovulated early. Point is, just have sex and hope for the best! TTC can be so frustrating and confusing!

I had a super wonky (and late) period last month. I spotted for 5 whole days before it actually turned into a real period, and then my period was only 4 days. Typically I spot for a couple days and then have a period for about 6-7 days. I counted the first day of regular bleeding as CD1. On CD8 I had all of my normal ovulation symptoms but without any EWCM (well, to the eye at least, I didn't actually dig around and check "up there"). I even had pinching in my lower back on the left side and a bit of spotting (which happens every month around O time).

So far, still no EWCM (just creamy) and no other symptoms that would signal ovulation yet, but its still only CD12, so that could change.

I'm not temping so I can't confirm that it was actually O and not something else.

So to sum it up, the only difference was that I think I ovulated super early and without noticeable CM.

Do you think that last month could have been anovulatory and I just didn't notice, which threw everything off and caused me to ovulate "early" since technically the period I had wouldn't have been a period? Do you think the O symptoms could have been caused by something else? OR did I count the wrong day as CD1, and everything should be adjusted? What is the most likely scenario?

I'm so mad I wasn't temping, otherwise I would probably know! Grrrr....

I guess I belong here! This is our first month of NTNP. I'm not really sure what we are thinking, because with our first 3, we got preggo with each one on the first time, in fact, DD #1 was not even planned. So, I say NTNP lightly, because I think we both expect a pretty quick and swift BFP (and I'm secretly hoping so)!

Baby #: 4

Excited for: Pregnancy. And I never thought I would say that again. Just last year I was saying I wasn't sure if I ever wanted to do it again or not!
