In my first pregnancy I wasn't obese but was a bridesmaid with my face and basically whole self looking larger than usual.. I was supposed to wear a similar dress but of all the things that got bigger I have wide hips and didn't have a huge bump so the maternity version in the larger size ended up being too big. And I wasn't actually small to start with. I was in my third trimester and so if anyone thought any other parts of me looked big I guess they wrote it off to baby weight.

Who knows, maybe you'll show later. You could actually lose weight in the beginning of pregnancy (and still have a totally healthy pregnancy.)

I tell you, being obese and a maid of honor was actually the rock bottom depressing episode that finally got me to start losing the weight. My sister and all of the other bridesmaids were so beautiful, and I just felt awful. It was a good kick in the pants to turn my bad habits around.

I think I would almost rather be a bridesmaid pregnant & overweight than be a bridesmaid and just overweight (which I am the latter in less than three months)! It is a great excuse :) I would be a dork and practice my poses in the dress in the mirror to find the most flattering pose! I'd for sure be doing the pregnant crotch grab to emphasize the bump, haha!

@MrsH73: LOL. I am in a wedding that is 3 weeks after my EDD. And I am not small to begin with (pre-pregnancy). thus I have the same worries BUT I think you can get away with soooooooooo much more being pregnant. :) So thats good!!

@MrsH73: I was just a bridesmaid at 20 weeks pregnant and I'm definitely officially obese now (or maybe overweight, not sure). Anyway, I am not small and I'm also carrying HUGE this pregnancy.

I'm not going to lie...it wasn't my favorite day to dress up in a formal dress that matches my skin tone (not flattering) when I'm gigantic and my face is bloated and there are going to be pictures for all eternity--but I just repeated to myself that it's not really about me, and I went, put on a happy face, and shoved my swollen feet into heels.

And it was fine! I even had fun! Sometimes you just have to go out there and fake it a little....until you start to believe it yourself. ;-)

I am sooooo excited to be pregnant! It's unreal!
However my sisters getting married in August and I'm a,ready obese. The dress has even chosen - knee length, bare arms. Hugs under the boobs.
I'm not allowed a shawl/cardigan.
Can I look good? I am so petrified! The bride and bridesmaid are stunning.
Stupid question probably! I should maybe grow a pair but it haunts me.
